"I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"Truly friendly staff, everyone was soooo welcoming, we felt over the moon when arrived to this camp...it is one in a lifetime experience...the staff goes over the mile to support you, I wish we stayed for to nights instead of one... we travelled the world but This Camp, its people, food, ambiance, scenery is out of this world... would highly recommend to everyone. Food was much better than in most hotels. Thank u for this experience!"

He welcomes you with open arms and helps with absolutely everything at any time. The apartment is really charming and you feel at home immediately when you step in. The room is very spacious and the bed so comfy. Kitchen and bathroom are fully clean and equipped with everything. I am recommending this place so very much! Smuk og god beliggenhed. Tæt på bjerge og byer med indkøbsmuligheder. Værterne var meget venlige og behjælpelige med alt. Værten lavede lækker mad, det kan anbefales. Børnene nød poolen, så dette var klart et plus.Vi kommer helt sikkert igen, hvis muligheden byder sig. Virkelig billigt, for så meget værdi. Kan kun anbefale dette sted."

Hytterne lå meget tæt, vores morgenmad blev stjålet i fælleskøkkenet.

Windows are impossible to open. It was a warm summer day, no air conditioning, so it was very warm to sleep.

"Very cozy and warm shepherds huts with comfortable beds. Mary and Robert were lovely and very accommodating. We had a beautiful walk around the property. Such a peaceful and quiet area. Nice healthy breakfast with homemade breads and jam."

"Nice campsite at Kolpa river, exactly on the side of the river. There are places for tents and caravans and also mobile homes. View is perfect, I also like the restaurant. Mobile homes are quite small, but okay for a couple of days."

With a little bit of renovations would be great place.

"It’s easy to reach from the airport (10minutes) with a free bus shuttle. It’s a place to stay just one night if you arrive late at night, also because the city centre is easy to reach from the hotel"

Would be great if they can provide double bed options for couples, but other than that, it was great.

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The tented room was very comfortable and we loved the deck with the far reaching views and watching the animals. We did two game drives here with Lucky and he was excellent."
