"The road to Carbunari is not the best one, but can be approached with any type of car. The accommodation is setup in a very nice setting, the wooden cabins are close to the forest and the whole place is at the end of the road. No neighbours, no noise, only nature! The owners are awesome people, and they are doing their best to make their guests feel like home. We rarely say this, but we’d be very happy to see them again!"

The road from Oravita is pretty bad, but the one from Bozovici is decent, even tho unpaved.

"I just loved the concept of tipi in the forest. Very clean camping area, big forest surrounding the campground, lots of birds and of course the lovely semois by my feet. It’s also a family camping so as a solo traveler you feel pretty safe."

The “insolite” part, you aren’t quite insolite, other tipis were in use by families with children running around and shouting. This was a bit tiring since I hoped to be in a calmer area. But you manage, I was out hiking the whole day and at night I set up my bbq while the kids slept. Only early mornings were hard - at the same time the birds were as loud as the kids 😂

On Weekends it gets quite loud at the pool area as it is open to foreigners and restaurant guets in general.

"Small authentic hotel with a beautiful view of the tea plantations. We booked a bungalow with a balcony, bathroom and bedroom. Breakfast was good, but we waited for dinner for more than 1.5 hours."

It was cold in the room, shower doesn't work

"Det var en hyggelig hytte med alle de faciliteter vi havde brug for! Ungerne synes, det var sjovt med toget, der kørte forbi bag hytten. Gik man over sporet, var der en dejlig skov. Havet, is og vafler var i gå afstand. Der var lille køre afstand til Ystad, der var hyggelig med mange spisesteder"

"This was a very comfortable modern house like a tiny home but felt spacious. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was warm and inviting. The setting is lovely on a river with some small falls. I imagine Iin summer the outdoor bbq area would be very nice. We had a very comfortable night. Free onsen was nice although glad no one else there as it was tiny."

The location is quite far from the train so you need a taxi. The taxi drivers seemed put out to go there she it cost us about $40. Also far from a shop. So bring food or have a car. I like an onsen but it was very tiny. It would be nicer outdoors by the river.

"The compound is very cosy with lots of fireplaces and areas to play and chill. Although there where a lot of guests the last night we barely noticed them. The outdoor kitchen is very pleasant to use and the showers and toilets where comfortable. We are fond of the place, very easy going, close to nature and basic with a comfort-plus."

We felt lucky we brought our own chairs. The chairs available where great to use for sitting at the table and for eating but not for chilling at the fire pit. The beds where hard. I didn't mind but I can imagine some people don't like a hard matras.

"Amazing little house with garden. Everything was very clean, a little oasis in nature. The host was great, made sure we had everything we needed. We can also recommend having dinner on the balcony. the food was delicious and it was so peaceful. Can 100% recommend! We also booked the safari to Uduwalawe directly with them, they organised everything and it was great!!"

"Det var en helt særlig oplevelse at overnatte ved Mida Creek Nature Camp. Daniel og John tog godt imod os, og vi følte os velkomne med det samme. Vi havde booket deres board walk og kanotur + cooking class. Begge dele var en super oplevelse. Det summer af lokalt liv omkring Nature Camp, og man får et virkelig fint indblik i, hvordan de lokale lever."

"Elmers sted er meget autentisk! Man befinder sig midt i regnskoven og mærker Costa Ricas unikke biodiversitet! Bl.a mulighed for at se tapir (som vi desværre missede), fer de lance slanger og andre krybdyr, invertebrater samt ufattelig mange fuglearter. Elmer og hans frivillige sørgede godt for os bl.a med hans unikke passion for at lave mad og viden om området, der ligger nær Cordovado nationalpark. Stedet kan i høj grad anbefales, hvis man vil mærke den vilde regnskov tæt på!"

"Es hat mir alles gefallen! Ich habe mit meinen zwei Jungs für 4 Nächte im Heu übernachtet. Die Vermieterin ist super freundlich! Der wunderbare Garten hat uns jeden Tag neues entdecken lassen, die Tiere waren toll. Ich habe nichts auszusetzen!"

Leute, die meinen für den günstigen Preis ein 10 Sterne Luxushotel erwarten zu müssen! Wer es klinisch rein haben möchte, sollte in die Stadt fahren und in ein Hotel gehen, nicht aufs Land, auf einen Bauernhof mit Tieren und Heu für ein paar Euro die Nacht!
