"Magic Reef is a beautiful resort, very relaxing. The bungalows are well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. It was also great to have our own comfortable lounge chairs on the deck to take in the views out over the reef, watching the waves crashing and the sun setting which was all simply breathtaking. There are a few really good restaurants within walking distance down the beach, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing time. We hired a car for a couple of days to explore around the island, enjoy some beach swimming, snorkeling and to eat at some different restaurants. The pool was great, lovely temperature and depth. Our hosts and all the staff were friendly, helpful and we enjoyed talking with them. Thanks for the beautiful platter in the fridge, the beers, juice etc which was so appreciated. We would highly recommend Magic Reef if you like a small boutique resort."

The sea has moved in so much over the years that there really is no place to sunbathe on the beach by the hotel. You can walk further down the beach - given space limited sun beds on the decking area.

"Nice and modern hotel in country club style. Very professional and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Great option when travelling with car - plenty of parking space."

"Great location, just ~100 meters away from the beach. Very nice and helpful people, booked a lovely islands tour in a very good price for us and offered to help us with a number of things. Fascilitated our return to Krabi. There are 4 adorable cats in the property too. The room was a standard Thailand room for that price range, nothing to complain about."

"Great pools, no rush to grab a lounger in the morning, comfy bed, good shower, excellent location right in the middle of The Gap. The crazy golf course was superb! Gardens were large and well kept."

Bar was expensive so no-one really used it. Pure Ocean restaurant was just ok. Apartment was a bit tired in places. Felt it was expensive for what it was but worth paying the extra for pool/garden view.

The location is beautifully quiet and serene, away from the hustle of the city. Surrounded by nature and heritage charm, it felt like a perfect peaceful escape. "Great snorkelling around the over water bungalows, lots of turtles feeding on the seagrass. Beautiful location, so relaxing. Beach access bungalows are very nice, newly renovated, comfy bed. Pool was awesome. Appreciated the sea bird conservation in the island. I actually loved the sounds of the Puffin de Pacifique birds at night - I thought it was a child crying at first lol… bungalows have earplugs, luckily! Complimentary buffet breakfast was good. Got a generous late check out, service was really good from the boat to the front desk to the restaurant and bar. Everyone speaks a very high level of English, not sure where the negative comments about staff come from - they were the best I experienced in NC by far."

It’s an expensive buffet dinner (around $80aud) but the choices were really good, esp the fresh seafood and all the desserts. It’s just not worth it if you don’t eat huge dinners. Order à la carte options instead, but nice to try the buffet just once. Consider BYO noodles and alcohol if you want to save money, buying food and drinks from the restaurant and bar adds up quick. Would have been good to be able to lock/unlock the back beach access door from outside with a key.

Check air conditioner operation before sleeping! We down graded to beach front from water bungalow but didnt get discount or reimbursement from booking dot com. :( Had noisy neighouring resort from parties over 2 days.
