"The house is very nice and located on a quiet road just out of Manteigas. There is nice looking outdoor pool but we visited in late November so it was really cold. In fact, it was freezing at night with frost in the morning. We were worried we would be cold but, luckily, the aircon in our room worked very well and the room we got was very small so the place warmed up very quickly and stayed warm. So visiting in winter shouldn't be a problem. The bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water in the shower. The host was pleasant and friendly both online and at the property. There is plenty of private parking. If you like cats, you will also like this place as lots of cats hang around the hotel grounds being fed by the owners. The breakfast was OK."

"Kæmpe værelse og mulighed for at hænge lidt tøj op på tørrestativ. Der var åbent i restauranten til et mindre udvalg af retter både til morgen og aften. Kiosken har ikke åbent i maj, så man skal handle i byen. Meget imødekommende personale. Det ligger et stykke udenfor Zambujeira do Mar, så hvis man er på vandretur bliver etapen noget længere."

The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"The proprietor was wonderful. The common outside areas were very beautiful. The common inside area was a museum—-super interesting. The restaurant was very, very good! Fantastic! The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
