"Beautiful old-style Portuguese house on the Douro river. The views are absolutely stunning. There is a vineyard in front of the house where you can go walk around. The breakfast is nice and goes perfect with the view. I really recommend if you want to have a quiet stay with great views over the valley."

"The position was the most beautiful. Staff delivered our breakfast to have on the terrace overlooking the Douro Valley. We chose our breakfast when we checked in and it arrived in a beautiful hamper the following morning. Had we stayed longer we would have used the swimming pool."

"The staff seems entirely impersonal. The breakfast was served to the rooms, while this was fine when the sun was out and you could eat on the terrace, on the day it rained we sat inside our room eating breakfast. There are limited places to eat, especially on a Sunday."

"Our room was right next to the pool so we heard the people there talking pretty loud inside the room, ants were a problem in the room, the toilet itself was too small & too low, no fan in the bathroom for hot air after a shower, no open restaurants around on sundays but their snack bar is open till 7pm"

"Kæmpe værelse og mulighed for at hænge lidt tøj op på tørrestativ. Der var åbent i restauranten til et mindre udvalg af retter både til morgen og aften. Kiosken har ikke åbent i maj, så man skal handle i byen. Meget imødekommende personale. Det ligger et stykke udenfor Zambujeira do Mar, så hvis man er på vandretur bliver etapen noget længere."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
