Maison Miraj Hostel

"This place really in absolutely unique in Muscat. The rooms are so elegantly designed, comfy bed, this really felt like a home away from home. We were warmly welcomed by the manager Lilly and the hosts Christophe and Leila are just passionate about what they do and you feel that in every single detail, the rooms, the kitchen what all functionalities and the peaceful haven that is the garden. And this pricepoint?! I would argue you can not find any better in Muscat. Would 1000% recommend!"

"I have stayed in a single room with terrace (which was nice especially in the morning for some sunshine). It was amazing - the room was big, the bed was extra comfortable. The bathroom was just accross a small hallway. Even when people were hanging out downstairs, you weren't able to hear anything in the room. The garden was a nice addition as well, very chill area for having dinner, eating or hanging out."

"The Maison Mirage is a cozy and welcoming place !The staff is so nice and helpfull with Tours and connects guest amongst each other. I had the private Room and really liked the style. The bed was so huge, i think it could suit a family with 1-2 kids as well :-)"

"There was some humming sound in the room from an unknown source. But i am also sound-sensitive, so probably no problem for most guests. The place is a bit far out, but if you have a rental car or like to take Taxies, it is no problem."

"Lilly the Manager & overall incharge of the hostel is way more hospitable & took care of the guests to the maximum extent. Excellent service she gave me sometimes even outside her reach. Helped me in all my questions from booking taxi to making food. Just because of her I might visit this hostel once again to stay. Very professional indeed. Hostel Garden is superb!"

"Cleaning rooms were not that often as it should. Still very clean and nice can improve on this point daily stress. One big negative in my view about this Hostel is price. It’s on the higher end. They could drop a bit. Location is far from anything walkable distance like Malls etc. Scare public transportation as it is the same all over Oman. Reaching Hostel from Airport is only by Taxi either or Hostel provide it, but hugely expensive does not worth for a solo traveler like me. U can not think or using public transport going to City center or beaches, but only by expensive & onetime very aggressive & not honest general taxi drivers. Overcharge most of the time. So in location & transportation I give minus . No clear directions either other than take taxi."

"This was our second stay in this hostel and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly. You can always socialize with other travelers or have your own privacy. Excellent Wifi, clean showers, clean kitchen. A bit far from everything, but taxis are always available. Good access and parking with own rental car. If we ever come to Muscat, we will definitely go to Maison Miraj."
