"Honestly, I couldn't have stayed in a better place while in Salalah. The area is only a short walk down to the beach and souq and is very safe, so a good base for exploring. You may want a taxi to get to some of the beach resorts but that's not an issue. The guys working the desk were so friendly and very accommodating to various requests we had. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Would highly recommend and would stay again if in the area."
Not a negative for us, but others may find it strange that there's not much in the way of kitchen items. I believe these are primarily long term rentals, where you are probably meant to bring your own items. For a short stay though these aren't provided as standard - we weren't looking to cook so it wasn't an issue — just a heads up to others. Another heads up is the windows are not that soundproof. Not an issue generally but be warned you will get woken up with first prayer. Not a bad thing, or something out of the ordinary or unexpected but just something to note for people.
