"The views from the deck were amazing. We could see the whales splashing the water everywhere. The bed was also very comfortable."

"There are some long stairs to get to the cottages but the staff was helping with our baggage so for us it was not a problem."

"The location of Paradise Dunes was stunning, we were able to sit on the deck and watch the humpback whales cavorting in the ocean, as well as beautiful sunrises. The two bedroom unit was clean and comfortable with (rather limited) kitchen facilities, with good mosquito nets and nice linen. We extended our stay for an extra two nights as we loved the area so much, very relaxing. It was an easy walk to Tofo beach for a swim, and 5-10 min walk to local restaurants and the markets (for veg/fruit and local crafts). We were also able to walk around the headland along the beach (Tofinho beach) including to the Monument of Fallen Heroes at Tofinho."

"We missed having comfortable chairs to relax in - the until is supplied with only plastic dining chairs on the deck and inside the kitchen. While there was a hammock, it was very small and not suitable for use by most adults (limit 60 kg). We ended up bringing our camping chairs into the unit as they were more comfortable. The noise at night! Most nights were very peaceful, with just the sounds of the ocean. However on the Friday and Saturday nights our sleep was very disturbed by loud music coming from one of the adjoining properties, which went on for most of the night (past 3 am). On Saturday night, it sounded like a live band next door - we ended up sleeping on our car on the street which was more peaceful (in our roof top tent). I doubt that the owners can do anything about this, however please be aware if you are light sleepers and book over the weekend!"

"Modern clean love the fact that they give beach towels the staff is extremely helpful and go out their way to make your stay even more comfortable from doing washing or going to the local market on your behalf"

"The view is really nice, you can see the dawn on the sea from your bed. The place is spacious and designed with care, the kitchen is well equipped with brand new fridge. The place is very silent and the bed has a very good mattress, one of the most comfortable I have ever had. The house manager Thomas is super nice and always available for any assistance."

"Bathrooms and kitchen were missing soap, but it was enough to ask the house manager to provide it. The kitchen could have basic spices (sugar, salt and pepper). Despite the sign at the base of the stairs, street vendors occasionally walk up to the access of the terrace, since there are a lot of windows it's not very good for privacy."

"The view from the Casa vista was phenomenal. The hammock on the deck was one of my favorite spots to relax. The rooms are comfortable. The kitchen is pretty well equipped. Cleaner came in most days which was a nice treat."

"The floors and walls have gaps everywhere, which means it is impossible to keep the mosquitos out (not great for a malaria area). The beds had mosquito nets but they had lots of holes and because the floors have gaps to the outside the mosquitos can get in anyway. The building style makes the house nice and ventilated for the warm weather but even with mosquito repellant on and burning coils all through the house we were getting bitten loads."
