"Our stay at Villa Polhena was great - the location is amazing, it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach and in a really quiet area. Loads of places nearby to eat and drink too. The garden is beautiful, the birdsong in the mornings is really special! Sonal was really helpful and quick to respond to our queries in WhatsApp. Very well equipped kitchen too. We felt very at home. Thank you!!"

"It was an awesome experience to stay in this villa. You feel it's your own villa. Quiet neighbourhood, away from traffic and only a few minutes walk to polhena Beach and about 10 minutes walk to madha Beach. If you enjoy cooking. Then don't miss the kitchen in the villa. It got all the appliances you need, from A to Z. The bus stands are about 900 meters from the villa. The rooms have big terraces, so you can sit in the terrace and enjoy them. Ac is working very well. And sincere thanx to Mr. Rohan (the owner) for his kindness and hospitality. Will surely keep this villa in my list for my next trip to lanka."

"Reservamos a última hora debido a un cambio de planes y fueron excepcionalmente acogedores. El lugar es muy nuevo y todo está muy limpio. Nos regalaron algo de comida que nos faltaba, melmelada, sal y una yogut de vaca casero. La ubicación está a 5 minutos de la playa y a 15 minutos caminando del supermercado. Es una zona muy tranquila pero cerca de todo andando. Una estancia realmente agradable!"

"Красивый сад, чисто, комфортно, детям очень понравилась спать на двухъярусной кровати, очень милые хозяева, каждый вечер закрывали наш дом если мы забыли, прибрали нашу обувь, угощали нас местной едой, заботились о нас!"

"Die Terrasse unserer Wohnung war riesig und sehr gemütlich, mit Blick auf den idyllischen Garten. Weiteres Highlight war, dass wir zwei Fahrräder zur Verfügung hatten, mit denen wir die Umgebung noch besser erkunden konnten. Es gibt in Polhena und Matara viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Küche des Apartments hat alles, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt. Vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeber, die sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert haben."

"Это самое лучшее место нашего пребывания на Шри-Ланке. Чувствуешь себя как дома. Имеется все необходимое и даже больше для длительного проживания. На кухне есть вся бытовая техника от тостера до гриля. Посуда в изобилии. Все Очень чисто. Приятный сад. Поют птички, гуляют павлины. Хозяин добродушный и очень заботливый. Однозначно рекомендую для отдыха. Пляж пять минут пешком."

"It was a simple, but clean and comfortable stay. The staff was friendly, and like everyone in Sri Lanka, they would go out of their way to help. The location is very central, easy to walk to all the main points across town. The breakfast was very generous. There is a Barista coffee shop right next to it - perfect if you need that second coffee in the morning like me :)"

"Det var nogen supper i møde kommende og behagelige mennesker der tog i mod os ved døren. Der vi skulke tage toget til Ella lod de os ligge vores Tuk Tuk og tasker til at vi kom tilbage igen. Vi havde glemt at tage vores regnslag ned, og havde snakket om det på turen, men der vi kom tilbage igen havde de gjordt det for os. Vi følte os virkeligt godt taget om. Desuden fik vi også lov til at bruge deres køkken."

"The best accommodation and host we have had in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect. The place was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Heshan (our host) was super nice and helpful. He even drove us to Sigiriya and showed us 2 temples on the way for a good price. The 2 staff members working with Heshan were super nice as well. On top of all that, there is a super cosy rooftop where you can chill, eat breakfast and have dinner. We really wish we could have stayed here longer."

The hotel is set up in the hills, giving beautiful views and surrounding greenery – especially lovely in the early morning and at sunset on the roof top swimming pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and happy to assist with any requests transport or local recommendations.Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of Sri Lankan and Western options.The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Kandy. It’s close enough to the city centre to visit places like the Temple of the Tooth, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time.
