"It's a very budget friendly stay and worth every penny. The rooms were big and clean. The location of the property is also an added advantage since it's just a short walk away from weligama beach. The family is very polite and always ready to help. Felt like staying at home."

"Loved our stay at Madla. We spent 3 weeks here and everything was perfect. Chamil and his family are so friendly and kind, and were always on hand if we needed anything. The room is cosy with everthing you need, a nice bed, comfortable seating, desk, and small balcony area. Plus, the bathroom is lovely. Would stay again for sure!"

"The room was beautiful, VERY clean and comfortable. Really nice pillows and comfortable bed. Hot water in the shower and great aircon. Has a good mini fridge also. Also the WiFi was really good and tea and coffee was provided. Lovely hosts and also the location was perfect! It was approximately a 5 minute walk to the surfers beach and a 2 minute walk to good restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, no bugs in this place at all!"
"Could do with an extra sheet/blanket as the one provided isn’t long enough to cover your feet. If you want it to cover your feet then you have to sleep so close to the person next to you due to the width of the blanket. Would be fine if you’re staying alone."
"We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect! Very close to the beach and it was the most comfortable accommodation we had during our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka! Very kind owner & team and super clean room 😊 No breakfast available but lots of Cafés and restaurants are within 5-10 min walking distance."

"We had a fantastic stay at Rivendell Hotel during our time in Kandy. The hotel is set up in the hills, giving beautiful views and surrounding greenery – especially lovely in the early morning and at sunset on the roof top swimming pool. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view. The room had a bar fridge & tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and happy to assist with any requests transport or local recommendations.Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of Sri Lankan and Western options.The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Kandy. It’s close enough to the city centre to visit places like the Temple of the Tooth, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time. Highly recommend Rivendell Hotel for anyone visiting Kandy – great value, lovely staff, and stunning views!"
