"We had a very pleasant stay at Mel Ville in Pondicherry. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a very peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. They even invited us for breakfast and treated us very nicely, which made us feel very special. Their hospitality made our stay memorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pondicherry."

"The room was very pretty and clean. The WIFI was amazing. The beds were comfortable. AC was a necessity and working perfectly. Plenty of towels provided. Cleaning service was fantastic. And hosts surprised us with a complimentary sample plate of home cooked food which was really sweet and tasty."

"Such a lovely place, great rooms and helpful hosts. Location is great as you are close to the main attractions as well as some eating options with locals. A highlight is Mehak's breakfast. We had traditional India option every morning and everything was delicious."

The hosts were also very helpful with their recommendations and arranging local transport. We also had a hearty breakfast to complete our pleasant stay."

"The couple were helpful and friendly, offering advice about Ayurvedic doctors for a digestive disorder and helping out with transport from Chennai Airport and a SIM card. The (room I stayed in) accommodation is a typical Indian guesthouse with the bonus of a delicious, optional breakfast, which went beyond usual breakfasts into the culinary arts, which was clearly made with care and kindness."

"After recently being in Thailand and Auroville, where western expectations are consistently met, I'd forgotten what a typical Indian guesthouse was like and so many things disappointed. However, rather than listing them here, I got a strong commitment from the culinary expert host, that she would set about making the adjustments to make the room more comfortable for western travellers. This commitment is enough to know that things will definitely improve. I don't like to comment on things out of a host's control but the mosquitoes just outside and neighbours' yard left a lot to be desired."
