"Great small hotel and pub. Good breakfast with pancaces and best scrambled eggs I ever had in any hotel in Europe. They could sell it as separated dish and I would buy it every morning. Lot of TV channels for every taste."

"A személyzet, mind a recepción, mind az étteremben nagyon nagyon kedves, segítőkèsz, barátságos volt. A hotel csodálatosan szép helyen van, a kertben játszótér, teniszpálya, röplabdapálya is megtalálható. A szobák nagyon tiszták, elegánsak, jól felszereltek. Az ételek isteniek, bőségesek, változatosak. Minden fantasztikus volt."

"Interessant hotel at bo på, da det har bibeholdt oplevelsen af, at det er en gård med en historie. Værtsparret er imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Hotellet er rent og pænt, gode store værelser, stille og roligt. P muligheder en lille tur væk fra hotellet. Ligger centralt i forhold til restauranter og butikker. God morgenmad, spændende rum at være i, indrettet med en gammel stil."

Dynerne var for tynde, her om vinteren. Kaffen om morgenen kunne ikke holde sig varm i termokanden.

"Interessant hotel og en god oplevelse. Ligger central og tæt på attraktioner. Hjælpsom personale og en god stemning. Maden på hotellet var god og billig. Fælles toiletterne var rene. Hvis msn er meget høj skal man bære opmærksom på, at døråbningerne på nogle af værelserne er meget små."

I december måned er der ret koldt på værelset. Der kan fås ekstra tæpper. Vi havde sovepose med som vi anvendte og kunne derfor uden problemer holde varmen. Toiletbåsene er meget små.

"Location was spot on, right in the city centre and close to the bus station. The beach is 5 minutes away. Lovely lady at the front desk. She upgraded me to a sea view room, without me even asking."

The hotel is a bit dated, but you've got what you pay for.

"The staff was courteous and helpful. Location is good, at the sea side. Very well presentation of food dishes and good breakfast. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable."

Lot of stairs to bring down the luggage and carry it back. The train track adjoining the hotel is very annoying and extremely noisy when the train passes through.

Toiletdøren var lidt ødelagt. Det havde været nice med andet end lunkent vand fra hanen og i bruseren.

Der manglede et skærebræt i køkkenet.

O café é bom,mas pode melhorar.

"J’avais choisi El rancho au vu de sa proximité avec le centre ville de Grand bourg et aussi parce que le petit déjeuner était compris… Malheureusement ce n’était pas le cas . The size of the room was a little cramped.

At der var meget koldt pga varme problemer men personalet løste det.

"The pool was necessary but a little dirty. The ac is effective and the hot water is too. You cant ask to much of hospitality businesses in this part of west africa but this place exceeded them. This place is great for overlanders"

Its definitely more of a "hang out" hotel for locals to come swim or watch football. It will probably be a little rowdy on some weekends. The staff seemed a little confused how to handle overnight guests.

"Virkelig smuk udsigt over Victoria fra en stor fællesbalkon. Virkelig lækkert mad! Store flotte værelser."

Man behøver en bil for at komme op til hotellet. Man kan også tage en taxa fra Victoria, men så er man afhængig af taxa, hvis man vil se andre ting. Gåture i området er ikke det bedste.

"Nyere hotel i god stand. Fin størrelse værelser og dejlig stort badeværelser. Børneseng var sat frem og klar til brug. Ligger centralt midt i byen i gå-afstand til det meste og med privat parkering tilknyttet."

Der var omkørsel og vejarbejde, hvilket hotellet med fordel kunne have informeret om, så havde det været nemmere at finde.

Personalet er meget langsomt og service er noget omstændigt. Man skal selv anmode om frisk kaffe, mere mælk eller opfyldning af manglende mad. Man får god valuta for pengene men skal være klar over, at det er en "hotelskole" med meget unge mennesker som hele tiden skal have bekræftet, hvad de må eller ikke må. Fine faciliteter men ikke let at bruge dem.

Our air con unit was very noisy.

"The family room was small, but had everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and the drink prices were reasonable. The best choice in the area. Evening village life is a separate show, unfortunately we couldn't find any entertainment nearby. And the wealthier residents instead gathered at our place of stay."

The first night we had trouble sleeping because at 3AM all the villagers started making noise (roosters, dogs, cats, turkeys, goats, sheep) but by the second and third we were already used to the village sounds.

Le seul petit bémol, pour le petit déjeuner  nous aurions préféré des jus de fruit corrects plutôt que chimiques proche du soda.

La piscine était sur entretien et en train detre remplir. Dommage pour nous que on ne pouvait pas nager. Mais prochainement ca sera possible.

"After a busy day of driving from Hokitika, we decided to split our drive to Kaikoura by staying at this hotel for one evening. Upon check-in the young woman clearly explained the restaurant hours, breakfast plan and how to use the outdoor jacuzzi which we definitely utilized for star-gazing later that evening. Since the hotel is literally in the middle of mountains and valleys and rivers, the views from the hotel/restaurant/villa were fantastic. We spent a few hours star-gazing the Milky Way which is our passion and one of the objectives for staying here for the evening. Given the hotel's location, the restaurant menu was quite limited which is a shame but understood given its remoteness. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for those considering....."

"The rooms were large and clean, the location was very convenient. There was a gas station nearby, so you could buy things at any time. The restaurant downstairs had very tasty meals. Don't forget to try the pizzas! The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though it was close to the highway, you couldn't hear any car noises."

"We loved the private more exclusive feel of this smaller luxury property. It was a bonus that it was away from the busy 7-mile area."

Taxi costs are high in Cayman so best to rent a car if in this location.
