"Welcoming host, good condition of the rooms and bathroom. It felt safe to walk around in the Neighbourhood (during daytime), people seemed friendly and interested. Note that it is not a touristy area, what makes the experience of visiting Praia more authentic."

"A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard."

"For the price I got a little studio apartment with plenty of room. The place is a bit spread out and falls down a hillside. Great views and a good breakfast. Staff welcoming and fun. Needed a taxi to get to the town but cheap and easy to arrange"

The wifi was weak .... I had to sit on my balcony and hope for the best or go to the main area.

bungalow needs refreshing

"This is a very nice hostel with extremely nice staff members and very comfortable beds. I was quite fortunate that I had an entire room to myself due to my visit being in January (the quiet season). The common is also very nice and the beach is very close by. Overall, this hostel is excellent value for money!"

While it is great that this hostel is right next to the beach, it is a little bit of a walk from the main train station (around 20 minutes). It also gets a little confusing when it comes to how to get to the hostel when crossing the bridge. These are only minor things but worth mentioning, especially if you are walking from the main train station.

My room was very cold. Even though the landlady turned on the heater earlier than she said she would, it still didn't help much.

"Lovely staff, really informative and kind. The hostel Backpackers was clean, comfortable and nice inside and out. Absolutely brilliant location - close to bus stops, Cuba Street, good eateries and has all you could need in the Backpackers. A fully functional kitchen, a lounge where you can chill with your buddies, board games to play, a nice outdoor deck. I also like the fact they had a female only bathroom downstairs. The showers were excellent, too!"

The bedroom I stayed in didn't have a lock that worked on the door, which was a bit concerning. I don't love that.

"Perfekt hostel med alt hvad man behøver lige mellem centrum af byen og den store park. Rubens laver desuden udflugter til Transnistrien som virkelig kan anbefales."

"Vi havde et skønt ophold på Yubarta Lodge. Cecilia er en sød og hjælpsom vært, som er meget opmærksom på gæsterne. Stedet har en skøn pool, og en dejlig stor have med cikader og fuglesang. Vi havde endda selskab af en stor flok røde ara papegøjer i et træ tæt på haven. Der er et velfungerende køkken med alt udstyr og køleskab. Vi nød beliggenheden med gå afstand til stranden og nationalparken. Prisen på værelserne er rigtig god. Vi nød også vandautomaten med frisk koldt vand."

"The location is close to main area and attractions. It takes 25 mins to go to the beach or downtown. The environment is peaceful amd this place is very clean. I would recommend."

Meget lidt plads i køkkenet når der kommer grupper á 15 der skal spise på samme tid - der er borde til 16 og vinduespladser til ca 8 Max Meget varmt i køkkenet Ingen varm vand til opvask de første 2 dage Personalet kunne godt være mere smilende og eksempelvis sige godmorgen, hej eller andet når man mødte dem Værelses uden bad på værelset - beskidte/våde toiletter, da der var bad og toilet i samme rum Der lå beskidte håndklæder på de fælles bad/toilet

Rooms very very basic and had a mould issue. But other than that was okay. We didn’t have bed bugs in our room, but we met other backpackers in the dorm beds that said they did have them…

"The hostel is in the heart of Antwerp, it’s walkable distance from anywhere. We got access to our room very early which was a nice surprise. Our beds were comfortable and the shared spaces were alright. I liked the decor. Our stay came with a free breakfast, which was absolutely lovely. As fas as hostels go, this was a very pleasant experience."

My only gripe was again the location. Being that the hostel is in the very center, there was a lot of noise outside until the early hours of the morning. Again, not the hostel’s fault, just something to keep in mind.

"Just a regular hostel with rooms. The walls are thin so you can easily hear some noise from other guests. If you need the place just to stay somewhere and rest - it’s OK, but don’t expect anything special from it."

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.
