"Spacious room, with a little private balcony, a reading lamp which I'm always pleased to see. The shared upstairs balcony was more spacious with great views. Excellent shower, with actual hot water. Breakfast was delicious, with the wonderful view."

"Not the owners fault but the dogs barking day and night. You really need ear plugs!! The worst perpetrator was the unfortunate neighbour's dog which is left tied up and seemingly without any attention. It appeared very distressed 😔"

"This is a little gem of a hotel run by a beautiful family and we found it really enjoyable to be in an authentic Guatemalan neighborhood! Here you get to see families taking care of their kids, laughing with their neighbors, making dinner- and yes, as the reviews say, sometimes there are dogs barking, roosters crowing and music playing. This is part of Guatemala! We loved every minute and it never interrupted our sleep. Just play some white noise.😉 You also get a comfortable, immaculately clean room, a hot shower, a wonderful breakfast and a great roof-top deck to enjoy the views from. The walk into downtown is short and enjoyable…and it was great to be out of the busy, touristy part of town."

"I liked the space of the room and cleanliness. Lots of places to store stuff. There’s breakfast but I never had it by choice. Good value for money! Very nice owner and I felt very safe as a solo female traveler."

"It is very loud outside because of the animals. The neighbors overall are quiet and it is not in a super central area however the dogs barking outside are very loud, I kept getting woken up around 6am because of it. Consider bringing ear plugs! Also the towels are really rough. If they could get new ones it would be great."
