"Modern, clean, self contained with bedrooms having on-suite bathrooms which also provided convenience and privacy. minimalistic though everything you expect from a hotel accommodation/apartment we had , elements from the spa were also included dressing, gowns and slippers, beach towels. The air conditioning throughout the rooms was great keeping us cool when relaxing in such a hot period of the year"

"The kindness of Elen and John was above and beyond what you could ever expect . Elen made us an excellent dinner . She also let us keep our room through the next day so that we had somewhere to return to to shower after a day out ( our flight home was in the evening) . These are good people."

"Location was great. And nothing beats the local dishes for breakfast. The convience of the washer and dryer right in the apartment was awesome!! I think the gated area added to the security of the apartment, and so you feel safe staying there."

I think some basic essentials would be nice, like salt, pepper, and oil to cook with:-)

"Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were well prepared and the kitchen staff were lovely."

Parking is very tight. The water drainage (room 11) in the shower flows the wrong way so it can be tricky to avoid flooding the place. Since there is no water mixer, it takes time to get the water temperature correct. Turning the water off and back on because of poor drainage is not ideal for a 4 night stay in luxury accommodation.

Du får 10% på en virkelig lækker cafe ikke langt derfra, når du bor der (The Eight Cafe - kan anbefales). Atmosfæren og standarden minder mest om et hostel, men du har dit eget værelse og bad, hvilket er en fordel. Regn dog ikke med super rengøring. der er ikke uhumsk, men måske heller ikke helt så pænt, som du har det derhjemme. Men hvis du skal ud og dykke, snorkle og bade og ikke spænderer meget tid på hotellet, så er der mange penge at spare på overnatningen. De vasker også dit tøj, for en billige penge. Wi-fi er godt. Værelset er lille. Aircondition er fin. Badeværelset er fint. Prisen er virkeli g god."

Der var ikke så rent, som jeg kunne have ønsket mig. Fx skulle man tage skoene af inden man gik ind på hotellet, hvilket ville give mening, hvis der så var rigtig rent, men mine fødder blev altid mere snavsede af at komme derind uden sko, så jeg var nødt til at vaske tær, hver gang jeg kom til mit værelse. Til sidst gik jeg bare konsekvent med strømper. Men til prisen, var det udemærket og da jeg dykkede hver dag, vil jeg hellere have et billigt hotel, end top luksus. Hvis jeg skulle nyde en afslappende fe rie, ville jeg vælge et andet hotel. Men jeg kommer gerne tilbage, især fordi de var så søde.

"We loved Dar Nour & our cosy room. Very comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. Plenty of hot water. Delicious breakfasts & dinner. Lovely sitting room. Stylish decor. Very sweet & helpful staff. Could we please have the direct number of the owner as she suggested? Thank you."

There was an initial problem with payment to secure the booking. Our French is very poor & it was difficult to communicate with staff on the phone & by email. Some black mould in the wardrobe.

"This was a surprisingly quiet, super well maintained accommodation on the outskirts of Lira. A great stopover spot on the way to/from Kidepo NP with a beautiful tranquil garden in which you can enjoy breakfast."

The smaller cabins are a little tightly packed together, but not an issue unless you're on honeymoon 🤗

"Skøn have i indgangs parti. Skøn værtinde med tips til rejse. Badekar - intet problem at dele badeværelset. Hyggeligt selskab omkring det pænt dækkede morgenbord i behagelige hjemlige omgivelser. De 2 største byer er nemt tilgængelige med busstop i nærheden. Sti som genvej. Varieret morgenmad hvor jeg spiste glutenfrit uden problem. Dejligt sofahjørne med TV. Vandhane i værelset så jeg kunne børste tænder der. Udsigt til have."

Det var lidt svært at finde i mørket men fik god hjælp på telefonen.

"It is very cozy and amazing place. I like not very big hotels with warm attitude from all of stuff. And this hotel is admirable according my choice. Not very big, near old center of the city, quite cheap, very clean and with gorgeous owners. The breakfast is separate song in this story)) It was huge, very tasty and very Georgian. I like this hotel and highly recommend it"

"Simples e aconchegante, quarto tamanho médio, frigorífico em ótimas condições, jarra elétrica no quarto, há 6 chás 2 águas, a cama era confortável, macia, lençóis brancos, macio e pareciam bem limpos, toalhas brancas limpas e cheirosas, o quarto parecia limpo, TV em ótimo funcionamento, fácil acesso, fácil contato com administradores, 1km do centro mais ou menos. Casa de banho em bom estado, parecia limpo, com sabonete e tapete a água quente boa."

"Staff helpful & friendly Location good: short walk to town, bars, restaurants close by & bus stop outside of the hotel. View from balcony of the mountains was beautiful. Rooms clean and comfortable. We were out of season, so restaurant wasn't open which was a shame. It looked nice. Very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!"

"Et rigtigt fint hotel og godt beliggenhed. Det kan anbefales, fordi værelset var både udstyret med air condition, tv med Netflix, eget bad og en komfortabel seng. Gratis morgenmad og kaffe. "Great location in a quiet street very close to the airport. Airport pick up and drop off very easy. Comfortable spacious room with excellent shower. Spotlessly clean and good aircon. Very nice outdoor swimming pool and whole place in a gated secure compound. Basic continental breakfast that you help yourself to in the communal kitchen. Owners are lovely and very helpful. Recommended!"

"For self catering facilities it is peefect, quiet and have laundry and ao forth included which is reàlly nice... the agent is very reasonable and always there to answer any questions or any concerns... I highly recommend 👌"

If bed mats to be place on both side of the bed and infront the dresser ... but others the property is well equipped.

"The house is in a glorious position overlooking the harbour on one side and open sea on the other with a lovely deck and swimming pool. Federica, the house keeper is helpful and cooks a good breakfast and other meals as requested. Bedrooms are rustic but clean and overall the house is peaceful and quiet but with enough guests to enjoy conversation if you want to."

As other reviews say, the road leading to the house is diabolical but it slows speeding down.

"Dejligt sted. Rummeligt. Friske farver og god service da jeg kom tidligt. Ekstra bonus. Stort tv med underholdning for alle. Vi kommer gerne igen og min veninde vil bestille det sammen med en bekendt. Hun var også meget tilfreds."

Der var ikke noget vi ikke kunne lide.

"Good location near the main street with bus stop and supermarkets and restaurants. Room is clean and bathroom is newly renovated. Although the room is next to a main street there was no traffic noise. Great with parking included and breakfast included. Good with some cookies and dried wasa bread and coffee is available all day."

The wardrobe in the room was broken, the door cannot be opened. A towel for the floor in the bathroom was missing. The breakfast is a simple business breakfast and not a holiday breakfast buffet. Stairs to come to your room. So if you have luggage it is a bit trouble.

"We loved our time at Malcolm Lodge. It was perfectly located on such beautiful grounds. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Paulette went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and allowed us to have friends over that we hadn't seen in 15 years. We were made to feel very welcome."

My only complaint is about the bed… it was hanging in the middle and was really noise. Needs a new bed.
