Oystercatcher Villa

"What a "palatial" home set right on the ocean. By far the most beautiful home on the estate, well maintained and all our wants were met right there on the property. The views are spectacular and could easily have spent longer and will be back."

"We had a very nice stay at Oystercatcher Villa. Everything was clean, neat, and well looked after, which made our visit very comfortable. The house is beautifully kept, and we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere."

"Our only disappointment was the kitchen. As a group, part of our time away is always spent cooking and enjoying meals together, so we were a bit disappointed that the kitchen is tucked away at the back of the house and quite separate from the main living area."

"Everything was great as as others have said. But I want to point out to potential future guests how perfectly orientated this property is. Because it faces north it gets the best of the sun during the day without blinding sunsets, so you really can enjoy the view all day long. Plus it is well protected from the infamous Cape southeaster wind. The proximity of a rocky outcrop provides the added visual interest of waves breaking and birds gathering. There is direct access to the lovely shoreline path with its local flora (some with nicely annotated name tags) and birdlife. Apart from the marine animals (seals, dolphins) and birds (including the distinctive African Black Oystercatcher, of course) we were delighted by an apparently semi-resident tortoise and visits by guinea fowl and a steenbok."

"Not the property's fault but Shelley Point really needs to do a better job of gate security. What is the point of scanning my driver's licence and my car licence when every time I come or go they have no idea who I am, where I am staying or that I have been in and out numerous times. Just annoying."

"A comfortable villa in the most beautiful setting. We saw dolphins, seals, oystercatcher birds and tortoises. The beds were super comfortable with quality linen. Lots of space for all the family. Everything was amazing. Book for longer than 2 nights as 2 is just not long enough."

"Right on the beach. Unobstructed views. Exceptionally clean. Stayed warm with the gas fireplace. Everything we needed was available. The host is a phone call away, but luckily there was no need to bother her over the weekend. We will definitely be going back."
