Villaer i Østtimor

"Very spacious, very private. It was comfortable. We were kindly met at San Marino bus station and taken to the villa. Also kindly taken to the supermarket first to buy some food as the villa is very isolated. Taxi was recommended to us, and was reliable and comfortable. The area was amazing to visit. Information was sent to us to answer our questions. Prompt response."

The villa was further away from the main area of San Marino than expected. As we did not have a car, we were reliant on a taxi, which worked out very expensive. There were a few items in the sink which looked as if intended to be washed up but forgotten. We struggled with sorting out the TV and also finding the right adapter for our chargers and could not find a familiar kettle. These were little things but frustrating after a long journey. It would have been helpful to have an information booklet to explain some of these things so we did not have to keep asking our host.

"De ligging van Casa Baronesa kan niet beter, direct aan een mooi strand, met achter het huis, gescheiden van het strand via een poortje, nog een stukje privé strand. Het huis is zeer ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Het uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamers op zee is fenomenaal. Verder zijn in de directe nabijheid de nodige restaurantjes te vinden."

De huisraad - met name het bestek en de pannen - was niet op peil en dient te worden aangevuld. Verder zouden een broodrooster en een vaatwasser welkom zijn. Het gemis hieraan heeft de pret echter zeker niet mogen drukken.

"The location in Lance Aux Epines was excellent. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to beaches, restaurants and grocery stores. The home is large and well maintained, the furnishings are comfortable and it included everything we needed. Yare was very accommodating to our special requests and communication with her was the best we have had in all of our short term rentals anywhere. Samantha who met us on site on check-in was very also friendly and helpful."

The house provides good privacy, but this seemed to impede air flow for cross breezes leading to hot rooms if you don't purchase the additional air conditioning (e.g. Kitchen).

"Beautiful villa with high vaulted ceilings and very spacious and elegant. Comfy bed and nice outdoor area. Very helpful and friendly owners."

Pool not heated, so a bit bracing when we took a dip. It was mid-November though.

"L’accueil de notre hôte, son professionnalisme et sa disponibilité pour répondre à nos demandes pendant notre séjour . La conception architecturale de la maison qui en fait un lieu d’exception dans tous ses aménagements et principalement la piscine à débordement de grande taille avec une vue sur l’océan indien . Le calme et la sérénité du lieu : la musique de l’océan , le chant des oiseaux et du vent … un coucher de soleil tous les soirs sur l’océan : de la piscine , du salon , de la cuisine et de notre chambre , du jardin …. Une vue panoramique à 180 degrés !!! L’emplacement géographique dans le quartier de l’hermitage : accès direct au lagon et proximité à pied de Saint-Gilles ."

Et lille ønske; Som ryger, ville det have været rart med et askebæger på bagsiden af huset, så skodderne ikke skulle direkte i affaldsspanden (lugt og lille mulighed for brand)

"The house was spacious (can park approximately 6 cars), clean and equipped with all necessities. All furniture were new. Also, the host was so thoughtful to provide cooking ingredients including rice, eggs, sardines, shallots and chillies just in case we're hungry at night or for the sahur. My husband said we should rate this stay 12/10 :D Thank you Mr. Tajarazhar."

There was nothing that I didn't like. It was beyond my expectation. Perhaps, it would have been better if the host utilizes some space for a mini pool (for those with kids) or put indoor game facilities. But as for me and my teen children, it was great already.

"The Uncle and Aunty were very helpful and friendly. Upon receiving they have explained everything in clear words. Everything is written with clear instruction in the house so you don't have any issues using any stuff. It was a wonderful experience...perfect place for a family to stay."

Could pave the pathway to the pool a bit better so not to always track dirt to and from the house . The lounge chair area is tight - hard to navigate multiple people finding a seat as there isn’t space to walk around the chairs . For our group that was a bit elderly it wasn’t convenient
