"Everything! At first from the outside I wondered maybe I booked the wrong place! But when at the counter, the staff was so so good and polite - in fact very good English for Uzbek people! I booked for Yandex Food, and one of the staff’s kids “Gina” (I called here this, forgot the spelling), help me to find the driver (he’s lost) until 500m away i think. Thank you Gina and Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you enjoy the small gifts from us. They even offered us a very good breakfast! Walking distance to Registan Square (500-600m)"

"Room is well decorated and bed is comfortable . Stayed 4 days and luckily occupants of other rooms did not make any noise. Local breakfast provided is good. Location is excellent, near to places of attraction. Host is nice, providing free transport to and from the train station. The grandfather can't speak English but is keen to share his knowledge about the city. The young grand daughter speaks very good English and is very helpful and attentive. I enjoyed talking to her."

"In the fabulous Samarkand we found the best place to stay - Light Hotel. Located meters from Registan Square and within walking distance of the city's major attractions. Everything in the hotel is meticulously made and extremely clean. Little Sangi is a special helper - caring and precise. But what are the beauties of a place if you don't like the people!? It is the people in this hotel that make you feel at home. I felt a little chilly - I immediately received a warm blanket, and when we were leaving and our flight was at 5 in the morning, at exactly 3 o'clock the host Jamshed was ready and drove us to the airport with his car. And this service is not even part of their duties. We already know that Samarkand will call us again. And we know where we will settle, where we found comfort and friendship!"

"This guesthouse is brand new and very comfortable. It is in a quiet side street, but is very central to all the main tourist sights; extremely good location. Breakfast is good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. They provided OVIR registration slips on check out."
