"Really friendly and helpful staff. Location cannot be beaten - right in the centre of things. Very stylish interior. Good size room and bathroom. Really nice view of the city from the hotel's rooftop, which also has a bar. I'd recommend seeing the sunset on the roof rather than paying to go up the city walls."

"This hotel we discovered was the first such tourist hotel in Khiva. And it is still a superb property. The location is perfect, the property beautiful, and breakfast delightful. The staff were amazing, starting from the seamless check in, all the way through to our departure. We arranged a guide directly with the hotel and Jamil was terrific, really great knowledge and pace. We would definitely stay there again."

"It is very close to Kalta Minor Minaret. In fact, Khiva being very small, the hotel is close to all major sights. The breakfast is good and varied. The staff is always ready to help you."

"The terrace had one of the best views in the city. Breakfast was varied and nice. They had water distributor (essential since we didn't find in Khiva supermarket selling a minimum 5l tank)."

"Khiva is a small city, so it's highly recommended to stay inside the walls (each time you cross the wall you have to pay unless you go through a door with no one checking - there are some). Arkanchi hotel is near one of the gates in a quiet square. To arrive to Khiva we arranged a transfer with the hotel for 15 euros cash each ride. The room is ok, very clean and quiet. Staff is nice and breakfast is very complete. You can have the breakfast inside or it's nicer in the interior patio. Hotel has no restaurant, so we ate at Arxi restaurant (managed by very young people but awesome!) and The Terrace (needs reservation if you want to be on the upper level). Really worth it to visit Khiva at night as some buildings are iluminated"
