Posada IRSIS

"The Posada is a work of love. The room and bathroom were simple, but the furnishings come from auctions, so we had an old tapestry and an old bureau in our room. There is a garden and the tables for breakfast (fruit, bread, cheese, ham) are there. Stay for dinner: at night the place is enchanting and the food, excellent. Juan is a delightful host. You're a nice walk away along the beach from La Pedrera proper."

The apartment felt like it was a fancy tree house, completed emerged in trees with birds all around. It also had everything I needed, including a bath mat, dish detergent, sponge, tea towel, salt and pepper. I've discovered these are not to be taken for granted in Uruguay!"

"The huts are set in the centre of a beautiful lush green garden with birds singing. Juan is a very friendly and attentive host who will make sure you are comfortable and happy. The breakfast is accompanied by fresh fruit and Juan even offered to swap for a gluten free option without bread as one of us is celiac. We extended our stay and would surely come back again."

It's just a short walk to the beach and a nice walk down the beach to the center of town. Great breakfast!"
