"So handy for the train and bus stations - the metro is a 5 minute walk, there’s a big Klass supermarket where you can get all you need. The room had a working fridge!"

"I had inadvertently booked a small room which was right at the top of the hotel - it did not have much of a window but in Kharkiv at the moment that’s an advantage. No complaints! The staff are amazing. So friendly and welcoming during this difficult and challenging time, in a city under such frequent attack. Huge respect."

"Near Gargarina bus station walking distance. Alina was very kind and helpful in the reception and speaks a bit English language, the other one was helpful as well although she didn't know how to speak English language. Modern stylish layout hotel, and clean. Decent choice for breakfast. Good water pressure. WiFi excellent. Close to Kharkiv Pas aswell. They have a bomb shelter too."
"The shower floor is at same level with the bathroom floor, I took a shower and didn't noticed I flooded half of the bathroom and the outside corridor, Water drainage in the shower got stocked, they came to clean and she didn't know how to talk in English language. They cleaned the flood and were very helpful 👌 They could offer more choice in the breakfast. Not everyone speaks English language."

"I have been to the Ukraine 169 times in the last 20 years and stayed at 5 star hotels like the Kharkiv Palace. And Costing a lot more than the viva hotel. Which offers exceptional value for money .The staff at this delightful hotel were exceptional receptionist Julia so helpful with booking taxis and directions the hotel has everything you need the Breakfast is Great the WIFI on the rooms is the best I have ever experienced in a hotel the location very good not in the centre but when taxis are only 2 pounds to centre no problem I highly recommend the VIVA HOTEL KHARKIV XAVIER RICHARDS"

"Really enjoyed my stay and this place exceeded my expectations. Start with location, its very central in Kharkiv and don't be put off by previous damage in the area or how quiet it is, the location is perfect with parking right out front, easy to find. Stand put for me, the staff, especially friendly lady on reception, so helpful and great character. You need people like that as a business to get more repeat business. Place was comfortable, rooms not huge, but well laid out and decorated, bed was very comfortable and AC worked brilliantly and water pressure in shower superb. Has a small eating area for breakfast and to sit and a restaurant that serves a set menu of mainly local Ukrainian dishes and a buffet breakfast in the morning. Appeared very clean. I must say myself and my two colleagues will stay again for sure. I recommend it as a value for money stay with great staff."
"I have to give honest reviews so the only down side for me was the elevator was out of order and apparently a result of the war and the vibrations from the shelling etc. It caused it to operate on and off so they decided to take it offline until it can be repaired fully. So if you need disabled access or can't walk up stairs it will affect you. Thankfully there are rooms on the ground floor and you can request one. Luckily for me with bad back, they found a room on the ground floor so it was not an issue."

"Nice cozy place in a great location - one of the mount Pikuy climbing paths starts in just 50 meters from the hotel as an earth track, or you can walk first through the charming village - authentic houses, neat church, apple trees, cats and flowers. We found Pikuy an "ideal 1-day tour": high enough but not too high/steep, rewarding mountain range walk between clouds with great views, nice mix of forest and open alpine tundra along the path. Very good!"
