"The Castle is a perfect place to stay in the centre of Philipsburg - super close to Grand Bay Beach with many shops and restaurants in the area. The photos provided look exactly like the units offered. We rented the one bedroom apartment and it came with a well equipped full size kitchen. For anyone wishing to do you own cooking there are full size grocery stores within easy walking distance. Louis met us at the apartment for check-in and was readily available to answer any questions that we had. I would highly recommend The Castle to anyone who is looking for an economical place to stay in Philipsburg."

"The room was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Everything was new and looked well taken care off. liked that there is a washer and dryer. We were able to wash and dry the beach towels and wet clothes as there is no outside space to the room."

"I missed an emergency exit and instructions on how to handle in case of an emergency. The room is on the second floor and I was wondering if the gate (which opens with a token) would open automatically."

"The location, right om the edge of the ocean, is fabulous. With a ladder into the ocean, we would snorkle on most days. The house has a private parking ground and is in a nice area with lots of excellent restaurants. The pool is really great, so are the outdoor areas. The house itself is very nicely built, with many wooden features, a large indoor section and 3 double bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen has a super fridge / freezer with an icemaker. But the house, as well as the property, shows sign of age and needs some TCL. A/C is only available in the bedrooms, so the rest of the house was on the warm side. One bathroom was just redone, but more is needed. We were told the owner, who lives abroad, would shape things up before the main season. Both the owner and the local handler are very nice and accommodating. All in all, we had a great week at this place."

"The location is great. Lots of options for dining nearby and close to beaches etc. The room was clean and well maintained. Instructions for the cook top would be helpful, as well as a well to contact the office directly. A drying rack for laundry would have been helpful, as there is no where to hang clothes to dry. The pictures are a little misleading on the view from most of the rooms. There all multiple buildings and only 1 with ocean front views. The pullout bed was not the most comfortable but the other beds were fine . Overall decent value."
