Chateau Appony har til huse i et velplejetæssancepalæ fra det 16. århundrede og har en landlig beliggenhed i Oponice, 20 km fra Nitra. Der garanteres gratis adgang til wellness-området med swimmingbadeland, afslapningshelligdombad og 3 forskellige saunaer. Gæsterne kan besøge det historiske bibliotek med 17.000 originale bøger fra barok-tiden. Bistroen serverer traditionelle slovakiske og middelhavsinspirerede retter. Aromasaunaen bruger original Ginko-essens fra Ginko-træet i denne park. Gæsterne kan i øvrigt spille tennis på ejendommens baner.

"It seems that the whole place needs a bit of a "face lift". The signs are that since the initial large reconstruction project and huge investment not much has happened. The award winning architecture is wonderful but needs day to to day, constant care."
