"Had a large apartment suite next to the hotel entrance with kitchen and living room. It was comfortable, but it was more than we needed! Great value! Breakfasts were nice. Wi-Fi signal good. Lots of restaurants and bars within 10 minutes walk. We felt safe in the area! Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They willingly helped with confirming onward bus travel and helped set up a Bolt account for me to order taxis. (Bolt taxis are cheap and plentiful, and are the best way to get around Asuncion)"

"Loved the reception! I felt so embraced by the receptionist and the owner. Location is excellent with the bus station and busses to Asuncion at walking distance. Another huge bonus for me was the very clean AC; sparkling clean just like the rest of the property! I missed (hot) water at breakfast, but the waitress brought me a glass of cold water :) Also, I didn´t expect the shower to have cold water so that was a bummer but still had a great stay!"

"We stayed at Rio Hotel during our trip to Ciudad del Este and found the location perfect — close to all the major stores and malls. The hotel offers parking, which is a big plus in the area. Breakfast was good, and the on-site restaurant is a convenient option for dinner. If you feel like exploring, there are also several interesting restaurants nearby, including some Taiwanese and a very nice Korean place. The rooms were clean and reasonably sized. We were traveling with our young daughter, and the hotel was very accommodating — the first time they provided a little bed with a mattress for her, and the next time even a crib. She had a great time! We enjoyed our stay so much that we already came back for a second visit — and everything was just as good the second time around!"

"Located five minutes from the Jesuit ruins, the Posada Maria is a good base for exploring the region. The hotel is very clean and modern and has everything you need for a short stay. The pool is great to cool off on the warm summer days and the breakfast is amazing, a true continental one with delicious bread (hard to come by in South America) and a good variation of products. We had dinner here as well, which was super good as well. German kitchen, but refreshing after our month travelling around! Staff is very kind and friendly and can give tips and advice! When the rain started dripping through the roof into our room, we immediately got another one. Very smooth!"

"Great staff - very polite and accommodating. Stylish and relatively new hotel with good breakfast. Lots nearby / convenient location. We had to check in well after midnight due to flights and the front desk staff were there (seems like it's staffed 24/7). Picked up dinner a few times from the restaurant and the sandwiches were really good. Would stay again."

Not only has the resort continued to enhance its amenities, such as the wonderfully upgraded kids' swimming pool, but all four pools were impeccably maintained. The staff remained consistently warm and accommodating, adding to the overall exceptional experience. Additionally, indulging in their organic macadamia nuts and delightful macadamia bread was a true delight. This visit was flawless in every aspect, solidifying our decision to return again in the future!"
