"I dont really understand all the mixed reviews. The location is a dream. The view on their terrace is amazing. And the small jungle-path with two small beaches behind the hotel is very beautiful and totally worth it. The hosts (including cleaning personal) are extraordinary nice and really make an effort to give you the best possible stay. The rooms are clean, mosquito protected and have fans. The equipment is simple and there are a few cracks in the wall. But wtf are people expecting? A five star luxus hotel for this price? I actually think it is much better the way it is, beacause it not only is more affordable, it also is way more authentic and positively contributes to an authentic experience of the nature as it not destroys the nature but compliments it. Also beacause of this it is not overcrowded on the Island. I had a wonderful stay and will definetly come back if i ever get the chance. The monkey that come to visit are obvoiusly a highlight."

"Wifi doesn't work perfectly in the rooms (but it works). The restaurant is good (especially the nice service) but a bit expensive. In comparison to other touristy places it is still fine, but if you are limited on money you should bring food or ask them to call you a boat beacause in Boca Chica it is much cheaper. But they will call you a boat no problem."

"What a special place to cool down and relax! The whole team was so kind and helpful, in spite of the owner died some months before - thank you so much for that extraordinairy effort . We only had well done meals and tasty breakfasts, as well as the transport to Puerto Boca Chica or the lift to the boattours were always reliable. A walk over the Island is a exiting encounter with plants, butterflys and monkeys. If you‘re looking for quiet and relaxing days, Boca Brava is the Right place."

"Lovely restaurant area. Great to see howlers from there and from our beautiful a/c room. Food was good. We walked to the beach and swam listening to the howlers."

"Everything was a bit expensive, extra charge for kayaks so we didn’t do that. We were the only guests for 2 nights so lower prices would also attract more visitors."

"Huge location with fantastic views. Even with very hot weather, you find nice windy places to refresh. Big room with nice terrace. Very good cooking in the restaurant. Very very helpful staff. Although we have heard the monkeys but not seen them, we had a very pleasant stay. We saw a lot of birds during our mangrove excursion."
