"The location - views are spectacular. The cottage itself is gorgeous. Welcome champagne was much appreciated, and the hot tub was a massive plus!"
"Considering how much it costs, three main things should have been there: incredible breakfast, proper coffee and comfy pillows. Breakfast was delivered to our room the day before and it was very basic. They brought focaccia instead of normal bread which the staff were then kind enough to provide. But we didn’t have a Nespresso machine or something to make a good coffee, only filtered or instant. And pillos were massive, we couldn’t really use them."

"Breakfast was fabulous -delivered to our cottage the afternoon before. It was the best continental breakfast I have had. I loved tge mixture of fruit and the yohurt and honey plus herb bread and pastries made the breakfast special. Loved being able to have breakfast when we wanted it in our cottage, enjoying the space and the view and the privacy."

"We just had the most incredible 2 night stay in Olive Cottage at Mudbrick. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. All of the staff, from the waitstaff in the restaurant to Anita from housekeeping to Karen in admin, were so welcoming to us and our toddler and went above and beyond. The cottage itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped. We loved the views and the comfy beds and particularly loved having our own private path to dinner. We had a car with us so it was a very quick 5 min trip to the local village where we quickly found the best coffee and fish and chips. Mudbrick is truly magical and if we ever find ourselves in NZ again we will definitely be returning!"
