"The location was great, a cabin in amongst the bush and continuous bird song. A courtesy car was a treat as we were out from the township. An excellent supply of coffee, tea etc with a litre bottle of milk and a jar of biscuits. Everything we needed and wanted and more."

"The cabin was very comfortable, with everything we needed to self cater for 4 days. Great view from the deck. Although out of town, it was in a lovely location, and the price included the use of a small car for getting around. Bill was a friendly host who provided a short tour on our arrival. Transfers were also included. Would definitely like to return one day."

"Sadly, we didn't have a visit from the kakas, although they were spotted in the nearby trees."

"Anchorstone is pure magic. The location was amazing, the facilities were great and the views were incredible. Bill was so good nothing was a problem he was so good at telling you what was in in the area, what was available to see, where was were, how to go about catching water taxi and great knowledge of the area. Having a car available was so good as we could just go and do our own thing."

"Perfect cabins in a beautiful bush location. Everything needed is in the cabin, lots of info and thoughtful extras like delicious biscuits, insect repellent, plenty of pillows and towels. Bill was a brilliant host and the use of the car is so handy. Lived it."

"Friendly and very accommodating host, loved all the wild birds we saw right outside our balcony and window! There were Kaka birds that came right up to us and beautiful sounds on Tui singing endlessly. Thank you Bill and to our surprise it came with a car as well, which we got around Stewart island much more efficiently. I would definitely come back here and stay happily 😊"
