Backing onto peaceful greenery, 10 Cottages offers self-contained cottages with a balcony, just 2 minutes' walk from the center of Franz Josef Glacier and a 3-minute walk from the Glacier Hot Pools. Free off-street parking and free unlimited WiFi are included. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, hairdryer, electric heating, electric blankets and a kitchenette with a microwave. From the grounds guests can view snow-capped mountains and the Croz Glacier (weather permitting). The tour desk can organise a range of activities including discounted helicopter flights, hikes, sky diving, kayaking, horse treks and glacier walks. There is an onsite launderette and the nearest spisested is within 100 metres. 10 Cottages can arrange guest discounts for some restaurants.

"Stedet består af 10 moderne, rummelige hytter placeret i en klynge, med bilerne parkeret foran hver hytte. Vores hytte var meget smagfuldt og lækkert indrettet, med alt hvad vi havde brug for. Udenfor var en lille privat terrasse omgivet af Ferntrees, anden native bush og masser af fuglesang. Der var kun en ganske kort gåtur til byens lille centrum, men hvor der dog var flere restauranter og et interessant Wildlife Center, hvor man bl.a. arbejdede med bevarelse af Kiwier og Tuataraer (kan anbefales). Ind- og udcheckning var ligeledes meget venlig og imødekommende på nabohotellet."
"Det er svært at finde noget negativt at sige om dette sted. Det ligger godt nok lidt i den dyre ende, men er pengene værd, da der er rigtig hyggeligt, praktisk og lækkert indrettet, lidt anderledes end andre steder og det har en fin beliggenhed."

"After a busy day of driving from Hokitika, we decided to split our drive to Kaikoura by staying at this hotel for one evening. Upon check-in the young woman clearly explained the restaurant hours, breakfast plan and how to use the outdoor jacuzzi which we definitely utilized for star-gazing later that evening. Since the hotel is literally in the middle of mountains and valleys and rivers, the views from the hotel/restaurant/villa were fantastic. We spent a few hours star-gazing the Milky Way which is our passion and one of the objectives for staying here for the evening. Given the hotel's location, the restaurant menu was quite limited which is a shame but understood given its remoteness. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for those considering....."
