"This is an exceptional hostel. Incredibly clean, with great facilities. The staff were super. The room was perfect for our needs, and the rate is particularly competitive. I would recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit."

"Great value, exactly what it claims to be. Bedroom was clean and functional (with a fridge which was an added bonus) and I was able to catch up on pretty much a whole suitcase worth of laundry. Location is a little further out but the scenery and views were worth the effort. Not really any food options nearby buy so good to bring food (kitchen was well equipped). Was a little quiet in the off-season. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions."

"Beautiful spot at the Åfjord in a peaceful village with friendly and very helpful people. Marita and Anne Berit own this place and are very hospitable. Good rooms, most of them having a big fridge, good kitchen huge dining room and many different spaces where one can stay to read, watch television, play games etc etc. Lots of space around this old school as well, also ideal for kids and youth. At 2 km there is Sørbøvåg where one can safely swim in the fjord. Next to this badestrand also a lot of playing possibilities for kids and youth. I suppose many tourists will skip Åfjord and travel to famous destinations. They shouldn’t because here it’s Norway at its best!"

"Excellent location for roadtrips or hiking trails. The host is very nice. The house is well equipped including a spacious modern bathroom with an amazing shower cabin. We loved the wooden furniture and the cozyness of the cabin. All the maps and books of the area are very useful. My favourite is the photobook of Leiv Bergum. The cabin is a treasure box full of cozyness, warmth and tranquility."
"Da sie 9 Schlafmöglichkeiten bot, war das Haus dementsprechend groß. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, was auch die Küche betraf. Reichlich Geschirr und Besteck, die Töpfe und Pfannen waren in einem sehr guten Zustand, was leider nicht oft vorkommt. Da sollten Urlauber mal darauf achten und das Inventare dementsprechend ordentlich behandeln. Großes Untergeschoss ( Keller ) mit zusätzlichen Kühltruhen und mehr als ausreichend Platz, um die Angelsachen aufzubewahren."
"Spacious and clean apartment with a nice view of the harbour. The owner was very helpful and answered our call at 9 p.m., when we discovered that our original booking (Vaerøy Brygge) was closed. The floating sauna on the harbour is a must-try! We saw northern lights from their as well, beautiful!"

"The view is lovely. We saw whales, different kinds of birds like eagles just by lying on the sofa, looking out of the window :) Sauna is very nice!"
