"A great spacious place that has been decorated in a way you will feel right at home. Comfortable and cozy while having lots of space. The old character of the building has been maintained but fully modernized to cater for all your needs. We loved that they used a lot of high quality materials, which makes your stay so much more comfortable. We really cannot think of anything we were missing or would’ve needed some upgrading. It’s spotless clean, the garden and surroundings/views are great. We had to push ourselves to get out of the house because it was so nice inside. Highly recommend!"

"An amazing house, lovingly renovated to include modern touches with a traditional feel. Kitchen space was perfect for cooking, garden area was lovely for an afternoon beverage while looking at the mountains. Showers were warm and the river near by was a refreshing dip after a long day hiking. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you very much to Oddleif and Synnøve for sharing your property with us."

"Utrolig hyggelig vertskap som møtte oss ved innsjekk. De svarte fort på spørsmålene jeg hadde før oppholdet, viste oss rundt i boligen og ga turtips for nærområdet. Det var rent i boligen og utrolig koselig pusset opp! Østigård kan absolutt anbefales og vi kommer veldig gjerne tilbake! :)"

"Almost everything was there to spend few days comfortable (the kettle but was missing but we didn’t miss it too much - found a way to boil the water for hot beverages)."

"We had quite low expectations, but the stay exceeded all of them by far :). We got a bit different rooms from what we’ve seen on the picture, or in our imagination… but they have only 5 special rooms, and all of them have their own story and design. The house is more than 200 years old, it has a long history, and you feel it in the air, in every small detail of the house, all the attention and details of décor. The house has impressive yard (if you are lucky with the weather), you can swim in the sea. The bathrooms and a toilet are shared among all the tenants, but we had no queues or overlapping with our other tenants staying the same night. It was one of the most unique hotels we stayed at, it has a soul! Lovely stay and experience for our family of four."
