"It is an amazing, cool place, with a great sunset view, long, beautiful beach you have for yourselves. I have liked the vibe a lot. People from abroad either volunteering or having an employment are the best. Thank you so much, I am greatfull I could stayed with you there. The access is easy, if you go from Leon, you can take a Chicken bus, it leaves every hour (like 8,25am, 9,25 am, and so on). If you send a message to the hotel that you are in Poneloya, they organize a boat (10 minutes ride) and the horse carrige..it goes smoothly..the breakfast (Nica) was tasty.. if you get up early, you can watch millions of stars on the beach"

"The place is really remote and a bit more complicated than just a bus ride to get there - buuut once here it is paradise: The area is very spacious, many palmtrees and chillspots. It feels like an open livingroom overseeing the ocean, people linger, chat, chill. The endless beach is perfect for morning strolls (or runs) to then enjoy coffee in sun, yoga at the deck or try some surf! Or will you manage to walk the slackline? Evenings come with beachvolleyball and campfires (bring your own marshmallows for they dont sell them (yet? ) ) and options of movie-nights, games or even beerpong if you are not too tired from your beachday - needless to say i enjoyed my stay and would recommend at least 2 nights to maybe see some turtle-hatching as well! Its not a resort but very island-princess-vibes ✨ (Also ask for Isla if you are down to get a tattoo !)"

"Dont expect a 5-star hotel - this is an 15-year old eco-lodge, solar-powered. All food is freshly made so it takes some pacience (but worth it!!!) Because the logistics are done with horses, horseriding cannot be offered just any day - but its worth asking, you might get lucky (best at lowtide for sunset)"

"It was a beautiful, natural, and secluded location with a pristine beach. Great and fun adventure to get here. Hammocks, flowers, and beautiful plants everywhere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely relaxing stay with some great surfing too!"

"Welcome in paradise! We stayed in a Bungalow on the beach and it was perfect! They organise dance lessons/yoga/volleybal. It is a chill remote place so don’t think it is gonna be very fancy, but it is perfect te way it is. Easy going, good food, chill vibe."

"Perfect place for relaxing, there was a number of things to do in the hostel (surf, yoga, horseback riding, slackline, long walk on an empty beach, turtle releases). The food in the restaurant was good."

"It is a very remote location (need to take a boat across the river & horse ride/walk). This is very nice if you are looking for peacefull place but if you would like to visit las penitas etc, it is a long walk. Cleanliness could have been better, especially in the showers & toilets. There was also a lot of bats. The restaurant was a little bit slow, and you don’t have other options as it is the only restaurant close by."

"Simply paradise! It’s away from the villages, it’s dark so you can see the stars, you have the whole beach to yourself, and so many hammocks to relax in. And they pick you up with a horse and carriage, that is an experience in itself!!! Wonderful!! Ps, bring snacks of you need snacks. And donate to the homeless dogs."
