"We had a lovely family stay at Maison du Vent! It’s a beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of the medina, with charming decor and a very welcoming team. The staff were kind, helpful, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were very comfortable and had everything that we needed, and we loved the breakfast on the roof terrace, as well as the tips we received for things to do! Our first night was perfect: calm, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for. The second night had an unfortunate disruption with no fault of the Riad, who handled the situation well. Despite the disruption, we’d absolutely recommend the Riad for its great atmosphere, location, and especially the kindness of the team."

"During our second night, our sleep was disrupted by a large group of 10+ British men that arrived around 4am - clearly outside opening hours and with a booking only for the following night (in an effort to explain the situation to us, the Riad's team showed us their booking confirmation). They were shouting and knocking on the door and continued to raise their voices once inside the Riad with no respect for sleeping guests, even though we tried to ask them several times to keep their voices down. The noise continued until around 6:30am, making it hard to sleep. Despite being given rooms, they continued to be noisy, rude and disrespectful throughout the time we were there. The staff handled this unfortunate and slightly scary situation as best as they could and remained professional and accommodating throughout. I'm sure this is not a regular occurance and shouldn't cause anyone to rethink their stay in this wonderful place!"

"The apartments are in the very old traditional building. We loved it, it was beautiful, decorated carefully and designed in a traditional Marrocan way. It is located inside Medina, but very close to the gate to Medina, so you can park the car outside and walk to the location. Very good breakfast served on the roof terrace with the view on Medina. Very nice and helpful staff."

"This is a lovely little Riad right in the centre of the Medina - within minutes on foot you’re at the stalls and restaurants of the medina. The rooftop breakfast was delicious and the staff super friendly. I loved the shower in our room - it was like a cave!"

"Location was nice, out of the way but still central. The french woman that runs it was helpful. Breakfast was good, quite a spread and the terrace is great. Room was cool kinda vintage. Nice to not be in an ugly Airbnb style place or modern hotel. Authentic!"

"Our room (family room) was over the medina street so it was very loud and reverberating when people were around outside at night. I put earplugs in and it was fine. If you're a light sleeper perhaps ask for a room away from there, I'm sure some of the others were a lot quieter. There was a also a septic smell coming from the bathroom but they really got rid of it with the help of cleaning products and a plug in the shower. So if it smells maybe just make sure to let them know. Plugs in your ears, plugs in the drain. Can't fault them for this stuff!"

"The staff really made this stay unforgettable! As Belgians, the Morrocan people really are already extremely friendly, open and caring, but the staff really goes above and beyond! You can ask them anything from recommandations, problems or questions you have to learning to cook a traditional Morrocan dish like Tajine. We cooked together with Mohammed and the food was incredible; the best thing I ate during my time in Morroco! Every morning the breakfast was delicious, we loved it! The location is also perfect and very easy to find if you follow the instructions. The place is located at the border of the medina so you can go to the center fast, but also are very close to the taxi's (parking Babmarrakech is a clear meeting point) and the beach. If you are a light sleeper, this is the place to be because you are relatively far from the minarets. I never woke up from the call to pray."

"Had a great stay in Essaouira and also Maison du Vent ,very old building with well restored features. Great staff and very relaxing atmosphere. Great breakfast on the terrace, plenty to start the day. Very handy to the bus station for Supratours, and also access to the main Medina streets etc.Very reasonably priced as well."
