"Ettelbruck is a nice place to hike in the north of Luxembourg, and allows the visit of a number of castles. Herckmans is a comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. The towels were really epic! Never had them so fluffy and thick. The village offers some nice restaurants."

"The hotel as a whole was excellent and the staff were very friendly, especially the young lady on reception who gave us lots of local information and the app for the local bus services (but can't remember her name), also very convenient for public transport and retail therapy. Chances are we will return there next year"

"It’s centrally located and a great base point for hiking. The supermarket is right next to the hotel and the hotel also offered free coffee and tea."

"Had an underground locked parking area for motorcycles. Was very central to town, it's actually right on the pedestrian precinct. Room was fine for a one night stay."

"Didn't have a way to hold the shower head up while taking a shower which was a pain. The climb up and down the stairs was a bit tight..Maybe not for the infirm. A wee bit tricky to find."

"We had a Superior room on the top floor. Very large room and bathroom, but care with the sloping walls. The staff in reception (1st Floor) were really helpful and the lady at breakfast kept things going. A good breakfast, continental style, but you can boil some eggs, if the fancy takes you. Secure car parking, but not sure how many it accommodates. I visited the General Patton Museum (wife didn't fancy it) and very informative of what happened to neutral Luxembourg in WW2. We had an enjoyable meal in La Fiducia (as recommended by reception),....Herckman's restaurant closed. Next day went to Luxembourg City by train (FREE !!!....all travel is FREE!!). And to finish....petrol is pretty cheap...we paid 1.56 Euros per litre....about £1.32/ltr."

"When you arrive in your car, there's no drop-off area as such. So just parked somewhere I shouldn't and found reception where they then showed me the secure car parking, which I'd reserved. Glad that my wife could stay with the car until my return."
