Villa Upper Dickson

"Vi havde et skønt stort værelse med separat toilet og bad. Værelset var enormt og vi havde kæmpe terrasse med udsigt over byen. Hotellet ligger i et grønt og fredeligt område i gåafstand fra Fortet mm. Vi fik fantastisk morgenmad , både Sri lankalsk og kontinental. Servicen var fantastisk, vi fik endda hjælp og eskorte til bussen videre og værten sørgede for at informere buschaufføren om vores destination og aftalte med ham, at han hjalp os til næste bus. Det er klasse!"

"Although some areas look tired in some places, indoors everything is super clean. There is an iron in the room. For the continental breakfast we received a freshly made omelette, bread, butter, two different jams and a full plate of 5 types of sliced fruits, as well as papaya juice. Swimming pool."

"Location to town and fort was good Room was large with a lovely roof terrace, Manager was very friendly and very helpful also very knowledgeable, Realising it was my partner’s birthday he arranged a beautiful decoration on the bed and a stunning birthday cake for her, we were made to feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble, overall a very good experience"

"The only thing that would make it a 10 would be UK sockets, or more 'standard' sockets around the room. They were all 3-pin round sockets, which aren't really used anywhere now."

"Upper Dickson Road is a great location away from the busy Fort area but only a 5 minute tuk tuk rideaway. We had asked for a high floor and were allocated the large top floor room with a roof terrace which was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent - either European or Sri Lankan and at a time of our choosing. The swimming pool was lovely to use before breakfast or after a day out sightseeing. The highlight was Iflal who was helpful and attentive to our needs such as organising transport and also went out of his way to organise a birthday cake."

"Fab place to stay, our room was huge with a small balcony. Bathroom had a great shower with lots of hot water. We arrived early and they had our room ready for us which was great. Location was superb, Only 15mins walk to all the restaurants and quirky shops in and around the Fort. Breakfast was a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which was lovely. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, we had to leave before breakfast on our departure and they did a small packed lunch for us."

"Lovely and comfortable hotel with delicious fresh breakfast and really lovely staff who gave us lots of recommendations and information. Location is great too (about 15 mins from the fort and up a quiet road). Good place to base yourself to explore Galle! Iflal also helped us organise a car from the airport when we landed very late at night after a long delay and our original driver cancelled on us. So helpful in getting us to Galle to begin our trip."
