"Placeringen er rigtig god, værelserne flot indrettet og værterne meget hjælpsomme. Vi var der med tre små børn. Det er især en fordel, at man meget nemt kan komme ind til byen med bil eller tuc tuc. Værterne gør sig meget umage for dig og kredser om morgenmaden med hjemmelavet marmelade og lign."
"Eneste minus er, at det ikke er 100 % ideelt for små børn, men det kan sagtens lade sig gøre."
"Vi havde nogle virkelig dejlige dage i Villa 49, med de sødste værter. Vi elsker at bo lidt lokalt hvor man mærker lidt autentisk Sri Lanka og det gør man her. Hver morgen nød vi morgenmaden og især den hjemmelavet marmelade som hun selv lavede hver morgen. Stedet ligger i gå afstand til centrum, men til pas væk fra larm og kaosset. Der ligger en stor legeplads meget tæt på villaen som var et plus for vores drenge."

"Our host was welcoming, helpful, kind and gave great advice She pointed us to what we should do. Food was outstanding and cooked on site. It felt like a home from home but with Sri Lankan style. A real gem and we'd strongly recommend."

"Truly a great place run by fantastic people ! The location is great just a 15 min walk from the main attraction but quiet enough from the heavy traffic of Kandy. The room are very nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast is delicious and cooked in front of you . The lady hosting and the gentleman working as main staff are simply amazing ! We loved our stay ."

"The Villa is very well maintained with excellent and very courteous staff. Shanani is an excellent host and personally looks after breakfast cooking and needs of individual guests. Excellent breakfast. Property is at a very convenient location. 5-10 minutes by tuk tuk to the lake. There is also a short cut to walk down, we couldn't get to try. This property is located on a quite side street, not much street noise and nice views from the balcony."

"We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too."

"Reasonably priced compared to alternatives in the area. Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly."
