"The Bend ligger midt i smørhullet af Galle Fort 750m fra togstation (120lkr/3kl/pax/90min, 500m fra busstation (ac bus direkte CMB lufthavn 1500lkr/pax/120min) og utallige lokalbusser til lave priser. Værten Vicum tog imod med et koldt glas juice og alle økonomiske aspekter blev klaret ved check in. Morgenmad (incl i pris) muligt mlm 7:30-10:30, 4 retter at vælge imellem. Godt og rigeligt af det hele. Køkkenadgang 1500lkr. Brug af vaskemaskine 2000lkr. Gratis brug af køleskab og elkedel. Sælger kolde Lion øl 1000lkr/660ml til at nyde på egen terrasse med udsigt til handlende på travl “gågade”. Galle er en smuk kolonial charmerende by med masser af restauranter, live musik, cafeer, smykkebutikker og “alt man ikke vidste man behøver af souvenirs”. Lille coop supermarket, med de mest nødvendige ting, lige over gaden. Stille og rolig base, som anbefales til alle."

"Very hospitable staff and the balcony is fantastic (we stayed in the room with the corner balcony). Located right in the middle of the fort, so very easy to get around. And of course this means that it’s a quite loud outside environment: if you are sensitive to sound, bring earplugs. The open window wall solution of the bathroom is…interesting. We didn’t mind it at all though."

"The common area (where breakfast is served) is a bit cramped. But it is a small hotel. Better to do breakfast at the balcony."

"the location was great you are in the centre of everything it's a small place with only 3 rooms so you are well looked after. the young man on reception was kind and accomodating. The room was a bit small but we had a balcony. Breakfast was a choice of local or English.."
