"Vi havde et fantastisk dejligt ophold hos søde Wasanthi i Thal Sewana. Hun gjorde alt for at få os til at være godt tilpas, og mine børn elskede hende. Stedet er helt perfekt placeret mellem Pidurangala og Sigiriya, man kan gå til begge klipper, og Wasanthi havde morgenmad klar, da vi havde været tidligt oppe. Det er bedst at tage en tuktuk ned til byen."

"Beautiful location between two peaks down a quiet road. Super accomodating family, made it very easy for us to stay and plan our activities. Walking distance to Lions Rock. Felt very relaxed here. Great cooking. Highly recommend - choose this over a hotel."

"Incredible location, great affordable food that's sourced from the garden and lovely hosts who not only helped us out in Sigiriya but they even taught me about my own camera I never knew. We also met some wonderful people. Cant wait to come back!"

"Excellent location close to both rocks with a beautiful view. The house is quiet and spacious, with a large terrace. There are monkeys in the garden and even larger ones across the street. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. The only traffic you hear is the occasional tuk-tuk passing by. The lady of the house is extremely friendly and helpful, and she is also an excellent cook. We enjoyed a very tasty dinner and a lovely breakfast, both nicely presented. Do keep an eye out for a wild elephant that occasionally appears further up the street! Highly recommended."

"I like the homely feel of Thal Sewana. Excellent home cooked food and personal service. The accommodation is basic but is clean and comfortable and there's lots to explore on foot close by."

"They rely on electricity to heat water and unfortunately we had a power cut while we were there so it was a cold shower or nothing! Make sure you take all toiletries as there's almost nothing provided (although I didn't ask as we were only there one night and it didn't really matter)."

"Great location, perfectly located between both rocks. We did the sunset hike to the lion rock and the sunrise hike to the Pidurangala Rock. Saman was super kind and woke up with us at 5am to bring us safely to the entry of the hike (as wild elephants are in this area) which is only a 5 min walk. In addition, Saman helped us organize our full next days travels, based on our wishes. We told him what we would like to do/see and he helped us with everything and recommend great additions. He did it in a perfectly nice and accommodating way which left us amazed. He also helped us book the famous train ride to Ella. Food was also super delicious! We could go on and on… We would just recommend everyone to stay there to make the most out of their Sri Lanka Trip."

"The owners were fantastically hospitable The close proximity to Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock The dinner and the cultural Sri Lankan breakfast were the best meals we have eaten during our 3 weeks in the country . Home cooked with care ."

"Unable to decide between the location and the host! It's in the middle of a jungle, so expect an authentic jungle home vibe with birds chirping every morning and a very high chance you'll spot a wild elephant or a deer. Very close to the lions rock too, you can walk your way to it with some caution due to elephant crossing areas or Samar and team can easily hook you up with a tuktuk as well. Please eat at least one meal here may be the noodles and ask him for the special chilly paste/chutney if you have a taste for flavourful but hot and fiery stuff. I loved it!!! Exceptional people and exceptional stay."
