"I would highly recommend this guesthouse! The owner was very nice, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Good location, short walk straight up from the pier. You can pre-order breakfast and lunch with the owner when you check in which was great. I was also able to pay in dollars or Kip which was helpful."

"It gets very cold in Pakbeng at night in November/December so you need warm layers. It’s also noisy at night with motorbikes and roosters but that’s just the area, so all the guesthouses will be the same. Note that the ATMs in Pakbeng can empty pretty quickly so I would try to bring cash with you."
