"Not easy to find for cyclists."

"Our family group stayed here as part of our multi-day Shimanami bike tour. This is a little off the recommended bike path and involves a couple of steep mouintain climbs but well worth the effort in our opinion. The beach location is wonderful and suitable for pleasant walks. The onsen baths are lovely, overlooking the ocean so you can soak in the various tubs and enjoy the views. The meals are excellent with many interesting ingredients and preparations. The staff both friendly and helpful. On the morning of our departure, it started to rain and the proprietress went to significant effort to bundle both our bike rack baggage and our bodies in plastic to help protect us from the wet. Her kindness was very much appreciated. This was a memorable part of our bike tour. Highly recommended."

"Nothing we didn't like. Note, however, that this is a remote location, no convenience stores or shops in the area."

"The dinner and breakfast are exceptional, a real Japanese treat !!"

"The Onsen facilities are old and run down, the rooms would also need to be renovated...It is not in line with the quality of the location and the F&B..."

"This small hotel by the beach was fantastic ! The hosts are extremely nice, and accommodating. The overall hotel is charming, the onsen very beautiful, and the highlight of our stay was the kaiseki diner ! Be careful though: the futon and the western beds are a bit hard."

"Aucun."

"A beautfiful hotel of an 'art and crafts' design with paper lanterns set into the walls and enormous rocks on the ground floor that the hotel must have been built around. It felt very special. At dinner we were in a private room directly overlooking the breach and the sea beyond. The mealwas our favourite in Japan. An incredibly elaborate dinner - several courses of whole fishes prepared in different ways. The onsen was wonderful too - with high timber ceilings and a deck overlookin the sea. The hotel is run by a mother and her daughters and the service could not have been more personable and welcoming. Sennenmatsu was hands down our favourite place we stayed at in Japan. Thank you, Sakura, for a winderful stay!"

"Nothing at all!"
