"Yuri and Cristiano are amazing hosts, and you will feel like home in their beautiful japanese house. Yuri was really kind and helpful. She picked us up at the train station and drove us back when we left. The breakfast was great. The house is in a very quiet residential area."

"Very nice homestay accommodation with very kind host. We chose Date as our transition point between Noboribetsu and Hakodate and also as starting point for trips around Lake Toya. It is little bit far from train station (30min by walking), but there was not much other options in Date and the house is located in calm housing area. Our room was comfortable, clean and the home-served breafast was great. Private toilet and sink is included in your room, but be ready to share the shower with a few family members or other guests (we did not have a problem with it since we were showering in the evening an it was mostly free)."

"Felt just like home. The owner, who speaks perfect English, is very kind and helped me with a small medical issue by accompanying me to the drug store. The room feels like I could have grown up there ☺️. All basic amenities are provided, as well as valuable information regarding restaurants and activities. If you like walking and hiking, don't miss out on the possibilty to walk up to the Mt. Usu South Rim Lookout. You get the best view on the actove volcano from there! There is a small free parking spot available at the foot of the path, but you'll have to mark it yourself on G..maps, how adventurous 😉!"

"Not a major issue but if you travel as a couple, like we did, you'll have to sleep separately as there's one single "European style" bed, and one futon for 1 person next to it on the ground."

"Yuri-san is very helpful for the stay-station transportation. Speak english very well, adorable cats and delicious homemade breakfast every morning. And we’re very grateful for the bike she lent for us."

"The house location might be far off from the city centre/station if you go by foot/public transportation. Because it’s a private own house, the usage of shared bathroom only limited from dinner time to midnight."

"We stayed here for one night before continuing our journey further to eastern Hokkaido. It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We managed to get a really good rest here. The owner, Yuri was very friendly and helpful. She let us use the pantry area for us to have our meals. Yuri also prepared us delicious breakfast and the best part is that we get to enjoy it at the kotatsu Japanese table, which is a low, wooden table frame covered by a heavy blanket, upon which a tabletop sits. Not to forget, her beautiful cats accompanying us, to add on to the memorable experience. It was a short but sweet, thanks Yuri!"
