Forever Cottage

"Udsigten var formidabel, og vi faldt i søvn til lyden af havet. Vi kunne ikke bade i havet, da det var meget turbulent, men der er en fin pool med havvand og et skønt opholdssted ved poolen hvor vi kunne sole os og slappe af. Morgenmaden var fantastisk! Hjemmelavet og varieret hver eneste dag og SÅ lækker! Skøn værtinde med gode ideer til ture og seværdigheder. Der er en lille "landsby" i gåafstand (omkring 500 m.), hvor man kan købe frugt og grøntsager, samt få lavet lidt kylling til aftensmad og få en øl/drink."

"Man skal have god tålmodighed med de sidste kilometer til stedet, da vejen ikke er i særlig god stand. Vi havde en lejebil, og det var vi utrolig glade for. Der kan køre taxa derud, men jeg ved ikke hvad det koster."

"The studio was cozy and very clean. Grace was an excellent host. As for the property, landscaping, design, style and ambiance, it was a 10 out of 10. The view combined with crashing of the waves makes this a gem of a booking."

"Such a cool place! I really regretted only having a short stay here! The hosts are both super nice and welcoming and additionally two very nice and calm dogs will take care of you. Waking up to a view like this one was really really nice. And lastly, this place is far away from all the "touristy" areas and that includes the vibe which is so much nicer here in my opinion."

"If anything then you must be aware of the fact that the last few kilometers can take quite a while because of pot holes and depending on the weather mud. But I'd drive this road any day again - it's really worth it :-)"

"Its like staying with family. Grace and her husband are absolutely amazing hosts. Her cooking is incredible and they are so friendly and accomodating. You will leave with two new friends for sure. The propery is beautiful with an amazing salt water pool just over the ocean. The rooms are comfortable and true to the pics but note there is no AC but there are fans and ocean breeze which is perfectly fine. Its halfway between Ocho Rios and Port Antonio (Portland) and can be used as a base to explore or just stay and relax. I spent a few days here for my birthday and it was really fantastic."

"The drive in is about 20 mins of very bad road and unpaved road leading up to the house. After the first drive its not so bad, SUV recommended. This is the only negative really. Not a negative but just to manage expectations the beach is rocky so walk with water shoes. While we were there it was rough due to the weather however the pool is incredible and more than makes up for this. It will be hard to leave the pool once you are in it. Walk with water and other essentials as this area is very very remote and take bkfst and dinner from Grace if you are staying in. Her cooking is amazing, arrange in advance."
