"Hotellet lå lidt langt ude (øde) i forholde til by og indkøb. Men det lå ret godt i forhold til den del af Island vi havde valgt at besøge."

"enkel traditionel mad på stedet til rimelige penge. Dejlig uformelt og hyggeligt. De tændte både for hottub og sauna til os. Begge ting var meget lækre. Dejlige senge og nem parkering lige udenfor værelset."

"Very clean. Very nice staff. Easy to find. Comfortable beds. Kitchen and everything is there."

"A bit noisy equipment (fridge at night - I know it’s sort of normal but still a bit annoying), and water dripping in the toilet, coudn’t stop it no matter what we tried. As the place is very very quite, these noises were noticeable The shower leaks a bit (just poor design, nothing is faulty)"

"Super friendly staff. Excellent facilities to cook if you wanted. We made hot dogs and had a lovely evening. We ended up staying there due to a problem with another accommodation and I was so impressed by how clean it was. The room was huge and beds very comfortable with extra pillows! A big thing for me seeing as we had issues with not having enough in other hotels in the region. I was so happy with the value too. We didn't eat there but food was also available in the restaurant. Breakfast was also available but again we didn't get this. Beautiful views towards the back of hotel with snow covered mountains and an icy river which was a beautiful photo opportunity. There is also a bar should you wish for a sneaky glass of wine 😂 I would highly recommend."

"We stayed here for one night during our road trip and had a wonderful experience. We dined at the restaurant and enjoyed the soup. Beautiful surrounding landscape was unforgettable. The setting is peaceful and secluded, making it a perfect place to unwind. Our room was very comfortable, with a great hot shower. Breakfast was included and offered a generous buffet selection, from croissants and cheese and eggs to a variety of fresh fruits. The property was quiet and not crowded at all, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. For the quality of the experience, we found it to be very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again when visiting this charming and tranquil village."

"Our stay was extremely pleasant. Grenivik Guesthouse has been a beautiful surprise in the North of Iceland after days of camping. We would've definitely loved to stay longer to enjoy the peace, the comfort and the landscape. The house was very clean, our room was very comfortable and big enough for two, and all the common spaces were really well organized so we had our privacy but also some lovely interaction with other guests, and the hot tub has been a very pleasant extra to enjoy at sunset. But the best part of our stay was definitely Ingólfur, the host. His welcoming was very warm and kind, he was very open and helpful as a host, he gave us a lot of tips as soon as we arrived, and prepared us a really delicious breakfast with a lot of local ingredients. Ingólfur was also very kind to stay with us during our breakfast -and even longer- to talk with us about Icleand history, traditions, culture, geography and all the curiosities we had. He has a special place in our hearts."
