Hotel Halond

"Værelserne var isolerede, havde ventil på loftet så der var dejligt luft. Sengene var dejlige at ligge i, tv’et virkede perfekt, der var rigtig god plads, der var rent, der var endda ekstra puder til rådighed på værelset. Der var flere drikkeglas, og om morgenen fik vi rigtig dejlig kaffe fra kaffemaskinen på værelset. Vi var 6 overnattende fordelt i to værelser, yngste et barn på 1 år og ældste mormor på 67 år. Vi sov alle som en sten. Også var der et spisesal så man selv kunne tilberede mad og spise der hvis man havde lyst. Og spa’en var som den drøm."

"Just love the rooms. Warm and cozy This was the second time we stayed here.but we had to leave after just one night because of bad weather so we had to go on Saturday so we wouldn’t be stuck here because of our kids. It would have been nice if you had offered to pay us back one night. We paid for two nights and only stayed one night."

"We were on a skiing brake and the location was perfect as the hotel is situated between the town and the slopes. The access for ski storage was good, rooms are spacious, and the view over the fjord beautiful."

"There was no on site reception or service, and all communication was handled through a call center, which was not always fully aware of information that would have been easy to answer on site. No breakfast is served during the winter, and the call center was not aware that there is easy access to the breakfast area, where it is possible to sit down and eat your own food. In the end, everything was resolved to our satisfaction, and there was nothing to be unhappy about."

"Comfort large rooms. Quiete and cozy. They are not serving breakfast at this time of year but they have a dining area with amenities to prepare some food and boil eggs. We didn't know that in advance. We had an issue with the shower head, and they fixed it before we returned to the room."

"I chose the hotel because of its positive review. And it's absolutely the right choice. Hotel is modern designed. It may look like a bit "simple" but it indeed considers almost all tourist would like to have. Since the infrastructure is still kind of new, I like its cleanliness and handy usability. Self-Check in and out - very easy and I feel safe there also. Hope Iceland have more hotels like Halond."

"There is nothing to fault but a suggestion: It could be even better if the size of single (twin) bed can be a bit bigger."

"By far the best hotel we stayed in Iceland! Room was modern, clean and comfortable. In the room you can find cups, glasses, wine glasses, bottle opener, coffee machine with capsules. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. There is laundry room ad. kitchen that you can use. In the kitchen there is kettle, microwave and toaster, in a frigde you can find some food that other people have left. Easy check in."

"i loved the cleaness i think this is one of the very few hotels where all was really clean. also for breakfast, you have to make a breakfast request one day before but we chose not to have brakfast to the facility. although, in the morning i drank my coffee to the breakfast room and i can say they were having a rustic but generous swedish type of breakfast. they had boiled eggs, 2-3 types of meat, cheese, butter, nutella, confiture, fruits, 3 different kinds of cakes, milk, oat milk, almondmilk. so it was ok from what i could see."

"i cannot complain of anything. maybe the only thing i could say -and it has nothing to do with this hotel- is that you need a car to reach the location or to go to the town, because it is close to the ski slope of the town so it is at the outskirts of it."
