"Virkelig super valuta for pengene. Dejligt hostel - vi havde et familieværelse, som endda havde bad og toilet tilknyttet værelset. Der er super god gratis parkering, og der er dejlige fællesarealer - både køkken og hyggearealer. Der var en god betjening og ca. 25 minutters gang til York centrum langs floden. Et skønt sted, som jeg vil anbefale. Desunden er York som by ret så fantastisk!"

Der er et stykke vej til det nærmeste supermarked (15 minutters gang vil jeg tro) - her var det godt at have en bil. Desuden ligger det ikke centralt i York, men man kan sagtens gå ind i byen.

"We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!"

If you want a beach holiday it's a little far but if you enjoy the cultural aspects it's a perfect spot. Just a little uphill.

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"Very chilled hostel, small and compact. Very clean with constant cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen. 10 min walk to castle and coast."

Dorms are by the main road and very noisy with traffic so hard to sleep. Creaky floorboards also.

If you are planning to go to the seven lakes it’s very likely you’ll find other people so you can share a car to the lakes, stay overnight at the guesthouse. The hostel also lets you leave your things if you’re leaving and then come back."

My room was very cold. Even though the landlady turned on the heater earlier than she said she would, it still didn't help much.

"A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard."

"Doba and his family were exceptionally welcoming, outgoing, and fun. We spent three nights at chez doba, and went on two hikes each day, to different waterfalls, viewpoints, and villages. In the evening we played football with the children and drank beer and tea with the locals. Special shoutout to Amadou, our guide for our stay - a great guy! Highly highly highly recommend Campement Chez Doba to anyone visiting Senegal, its been the highlight of our trip. We also booked onto an extra trip with Doba to tour a nearby bedik village, which was very picturesque! Doba Tours also offers other tours around Senegal, including Dakar and Niocolo Koba National Park, which we didnt use, but heard good things from other guests. The food was good and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable!"
