"Friendly welcome and very cosy and comfortable stay. Had a couple of drinks and the locals were very friendly and chatty. We had a great evening. Great little place and well worth a visit. We didn't have breakfast as we had to make an early start but the visitors book in our room suggests it is very good!"

"The pub is conveniently situated in the village of Flaxton, a short drive from York. The road through the village is quiet and the pub has its own car park. The room was large with an ensuite. Breakfast is available at a very good price and was well cooked."

"Virkelig super valuta for pengene. Dejligt hostel - vi havde et familieværelse, som endda havde bad og toilet tilknyttet værelset. Der er super god gratis parkering, og der er dejlige fællesarealer - både køkken og hyggearealer. Der var en god betjening og ca. 25 minutters gang til York centrum langs floden. Et skønt sted, som jeg vil anbefale. Desunden er York som by ret så fantastisk!"

"Getting keys from the wall safe was easy. The place itself was lovely and quiet. Comfortable beds. Good heating. Nice small kitchen. Two bathrooms, one en-suite. Cosy living room. Good range of channels on the TV. Plus you are only a 10 minute walk from the Minster and old town, and only 20 minutes walk from the train station."
"Nice location right by the high street close to pubs and restaurants great feature have the suite with a bath in the bedroom as well as have a walk in shower in the bathroom soak and watch tv on the big tv it’s basically a posh studio flat. Great choice of breakfast if you go for it."
