"Up the stairs or the lift to a two bedroomed flat overlooking the square of Charles De Gualle, had everything we required. Bed comfy, massive wardrobe, large sink, shower with bath, decent kitchen and living room, perfect for us. In the square you have brassieres and a supermarket for any items you want and as for the location, it was great! 50 metres you are at the port with all the restaurants, the metro and buses to catch to get about. On the whole, we loved it!"

"As others have said, you get the odd smell in the toilet area from the restaurants below and being in a busy area you get noise at all hours from bands playing at the port in the day to kids on skateboards at night in the square late into the night. Fortunately at the top on a 5th floor with the windows shut and air con, you keep out the worst. Not a place for a peaceful relaxing holiday, it's city life so to be expected."

"We had a car and parked in a parking station (E17 per day) about 10 min walk to the apartment. Collecting the keys from the box was easy. The 2BR apartment on the 4th floor was very spacious. Had a very nice living area and a great kitchen. The apartment overlooks a square with plenty of activity from the afternoon onwards into the night. But the noise during the night was fairly quiet. The location is good with plenty of restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket across the square so is handy to grab some things."

"The lift wasn't working to the 5th level and the stairs are steep. Not great with heavy baggage. This is not permanent but if lifts are not working then a property's listings should be updated on booking.com. I put stairs in as a filter, but was not told the lift wasn't not going to the top level till we got there. Johann offered me free cancellation, but by the time you have arrived that is hardly an option. I would have expected a slight discount."

"Location fantastic and the apartment is a great size, especially for 2 or 3 people. A double sink in the bathroom is particularly nice and a huge wardrobe on the master bedroom. Wasn't noisy at all (in February). Overall a great stay, honestly."

We visited to attend Rugby World Cup (RWC) matches and the location is ideal for access to the bars & restaurants in Port Vieux, while getting to the stadium was an easy Metro trip. We really enjoyed our stay and I will choose it again."

"The price was somewhat inflated but that is generally the case during the RWC (we visited 3 cities and it was the same everywhere). We thought the extras & luxuries in the place were a bit skimpy for the price. We also brought some issues to management's attention; I'm happy to say they responded very swiftly with what was needed. You can't ask for more than responsive management who accept responsibility and make a quick correction, so ultimately we have no complaints and enjoyed our stay."
