"This is a beautiful place. It overlooks a river scene, with the river flowing towards the mill. We were looking up the river, not across it. The staff prepared our room, and then changed it because we had mistakenly booked single beds, even though we had arrived two hours early. All as if it were no trouble at all. We got at least six sightings of kingfishers and one of a great spotted woodpecker from our bedroom window. There is canoe hire on site. The mill itself is interesting, especially to mechanically minded people."

"We stumbled across this property at short notice during our tour of the Loire valley. Were only due to stay one night, but fell in love with the place immediately, so stayed three nights! The Mill is a charming building, sensitively refurbished by the owner Tim. The setting is amazing with nothing but the sound of the river and the abundant wildlife to hear. Resident Kingfishers are a delight."

"Interesting building with very tasteful rooms in a great quiet spot that feels right into nature (although there is a village/housing right next to it on the other side). There were birds (ao a kingfisher!) and beavers to watch. Great hosts that told us about the interesting history of the building and renovation."

"It can be a bit noisy (thin walls/floors) if you are unlucky with the other guests. We had some people coming home late above us which could be heard."

"A beautiful place to stay, so tranquil and an amazing location to enjoy the extensive natural habitat. It was a perfect stop for our cycle of La Velo Francette. The owner Tim was really friendly. He has lovingly restored an Old Mill and it was a joy to stay there. I can highly recommend a stay there"
