"Though I arrived late, on a wet and miserable night, (the weather was awful: torrential rain throughout a 8 hour drive from northern Spain), there was a warm welcome at Madelon IV, & the hostess went out of her way to make me feel welcome."

"The hosts were great. Nothing was too much trouble. They provided lots of local information about where to eat and what we could do in the area. The rooms were very large for France. The hotel had a friendly vibe and felt like the locals used it as their local as well as tourists. Nice breakfast - they asked us what we wanted and were happy to prepare eggs for us."

"Man bliver mødt af utroligt gæstfrie værter Man får en udsigt der ikke kan købes for penge! Skøn morgenmad som man selv kan være med til at sammensætte dagen før. Har er køleskab hvor man kan købe kolde drikkevarer for en billig penge. Lokalt fremstillede, henkogte færdigretter til microovnen hvis man vil have aftensmad (prøv dem, de er lidt dyre men er af virkelig god kvalitet. Jeg købte et lager med hjem) Der er sikkert flere ting ved stedet som curlingbørn vil synes skal renoveres og sættes i stand. Men det skal det ikke! Stedet har charme og sjæl. Tak for et dejligt ophold, vi er kede af at det kun var for en enkelt nat."
"The one bedroom flat is super comfortable for 2 people, it is also big enough for up to 4 people. The flat is located maximum 10 min on foot from the center of les houches. We can take the train every 1h to chamonix for free with a carte d’hôte. Rental shop, gondola lift and the stop of bus line 1 are just in front of the building. A very good pizzeria is just on the ground floor in the same building. We can see the aiguille du midi from the small balcony."

"Beautiful gallery and museum in a perfect location in Barbizon. Charming staff and wonderful clean, large and tastefully furnished bedroom. What a joy to wake up surrounded by Barbizon school paintings. A unique experience and great to have a kitchenette and balconies too. Highly recommended! Will love to revisit."
