Set in the historic centre of Argelès-sur-Mer, this guest house is 2.5 km from the beach. You can visit the twice-a-week market, which surrounds the house. The rooms at L'Hostalet have antique furnishings and views of Rue de la République or the town square. Each one also features free Wi-Fi access and free locally-made soap in the en suite bathroom. A buffet breakfast made from local produce is served every morning by the marble fireplace in the lounge. Please note that breakfast is served on the terrace most of the year, by the fireplace in winter Free Wi-Fi access is available onsite. Free public parking can be found a 3-minute walk away and staff are available to help transport your luggage from the car park. Collioure is 8 km away or you may also choose to visit Perpignan, which is 15 km away.

"Hotellet ligger fredeligt, men helt centralt i byen og kun 7 minutters gang fra banegården. Værelset havde fine møbler, minibar i stort køleskab, kaffe/thé faciliteter, dejligt badeværelse og rigelige garderobeskabe. Morgenmaden var utroligt lækker og rigelig - den blev serveret ved bordene på den hyggelige terrasse. Mathieu og Jonathan var fantastiske værter, meget betænksomme og meget hjælpsomme. Hvis vi kommer tilbage til Argelès sur Mer, er L'Hostalet vores hotel på egnen!"

"Beautiful building, well located in the old town, immaculately clean. The breakfast was honestly the highlight, and the entire space was very peaceful and calm. Jonathan and Mathew were extremely kind, generous and helpful. Thank you!"

"This is a lovely, small hotel in a fantastic location. We found it incredibly charming that they came to meet us at the train station and took our luggage to the hotel on a bike and trailer. Note that if you don't have a car, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the station but it's a much longer walk to the beach. Our room was really comfortable with a window looking out onto a small square where the market takes place on a Saturday. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. Best of all was the breakfast. Everything was superb quality. The cheese, fruit, bread and especially the home-made chocolate madelines were fabulous. We won't forget staying here in a hurry. Thank you!"

"Very cozy, clean, our room had a view to the small square that was quiet or had a local fare. Mathieu was extremely kind and helpful. For the breakfast tea they had a mini sand clock to measure three different times, and it was these small touches that really made the difference"

"We hesitated between choosing a hotel in Argelés beach and the staying at the centre of the village (further from the beach) and could not be happier that we chose this hotel. The location is great, in the heart of the charming village and close to the train station, shops, restaurants. The welcome was warm and service very attentive. The room was lovely and luminous. We loved the breakfast, served on the terrace under the plane trees."

"For the price, location, welcome and facilities, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Argelès. 6 minutes from the station ( Mathieu offered to meet us) it is a fantastic base from to explore the region."
