"we loved the area , the bar on the river was great. The restaurants were all good and dog friendly. The local train was useful. Everyone we met was very friendly. There are walks everywhere and several good towns on both side of the border to visit."

"the beds and the bedding in particular were awful, i would advise people to take their own bedding. there was an awful smell of mildew in the house which we put down to the old cleaning pads left in the cupboard. Apparently we didnt clean the house well enough and it took 2.5 hours to clean, as we only used one bedroom and hardly used the kitchen all plates etc were put through the dishwasher. I will accept that we could not mop the floors. we were very upset with this comment and wish to apologise to the hosts. I think we should have taken the cleaning option , we have paid this to the owner on arrival back to England and again cant apologise enough."
